I do like the way you think, but unlikely in the near future. AvX is enormous for Magik and Colossus though.

I had a dream last night about Avengers vs. X-Men. It was so real, that I could have sworn I saw this somewhere until about an hour ago I realized it was a dream I had last night.

I was looking at some pages where the battle was getting heated. Colossus is charging toward some character, can't recall which one now, but just before they connect, he turns on his UNSTOPPABLE power and shatters the target into pieces, going right through them. Everyone is stunned that Colossus just killed, and Colossus is in a berserker rage standing over the carnage.

Your premonition may not be far off. I am inclined to think Colossus will go into full Juggernaut mode during AvX. Though Colossus has never been a stranger to killing a target, he has never used unnecessary force. Colossus as we have known him may soon be gone. But if they do this right, it’s very possible his role in the Marvel U may expand.

You're welcome. What I find interesting is that KG is pretty much the only one who keeps hinting about how huge AvX is gonna be for Colossus. No one and I mean no one (save for Wood in a separate X-Men non AvX thread) has said jack shit about Petey and his role in AvX. And KG isn't even writing AvX (except for a story or two in the Versus AvX title), so why is he the only one hinting at things? Yeah, it could be because he's the current UXM scribe, but still, one would think Bendis, Fraction, et al would have said something by now. Meh...

He fights the real Hulk in issue 5 and then this caught my eye:"Fraction followed up, saying, "In issue #6, Hickman has written Colossus as you've never seen him before." Well...I assume that means Petey as a bad-ass, cuz we've never seen him that way. But...I could be way off.

So, what do we know?

1. Petey fights Rulk - wins (again, all assumptions).
2. Petey fights Spidey - wins
3. Petey fights the Thing - wins
4. Petey fights the Hulk - wins?? Unless the fight goes into issue 6 (which wasn't mentioned), Petey goes loco on everyone and the combined might of the X-Men and Avengers have to contain him
5. Magik and Colossus walk out on the X-Men and get their own series

Wow, the first thing that popped into my head was that the comment about issue 6 is a complete lie to throw us off the fact that Colossus is defeated in issue 5. Hope I am wrong.

Heh...I hear ya, but I really doubt Marvel would play us like that. I think issue 6 will see Petey get his Wolvie berserker, smexy Cyttorak and Rasputin mad monk rage (I'm not made of steel) on. ;)

I can't help thinking that each of these vs. issues will end with ---for example, Colossus wailing on whomever, only to be attacked by another Avenger which directly bleeds into the next Vs. Matchup.
So these showcase issues of specific pairings won't necessarily have a definitive winner or loser. At least not all of them, anyway.

And I say this because of Thing.
First, Thing battles Namor. And in my humble opinion, Namor should win. And by win, I mean he should beat the holy crud out of Thing. My only belief as to why he wouldn't, would be as a courtesy to Susan Richards. At which point, Colossus comes along and lays into Thing ---because courtesies and mercy aren't necessarily in his realm of strengths as of late.

So I think each fight will end with a 'torch passing' of sorts, leading into the next battle. Lots of trading opponents, which will prove for some exciting Colossus action! As for his Snowflake, I'd likely die laughing if her fight consisted of one simple page:
Widow draws her pistol. Magik snaps her fingers. Widow vanishes. The end. ha ha. Leaving the duration of the issue to Big Brother's battle.

Agree with you here, I doubt we'll see too many clear cu winners(which sucks becauase Colossus is sooooo due so bad ass showings) but with avengers movie coming out and marvel not wanting to make them all look bad i doubt Colossus beats up anyoen clear cut, lets hope and wait.

About Issue 6 and Colossus being written like never before I assume the DEMON portain of him takes over and he literally becomes a monster, unleashes hell and is stopped or calmed down by his sister Magik who then strips of his Cytorakk curse or whatever. Hoepfully, Colossaunt goes out of this in EPIC fashion.

I wonder if issue 15 of UXM somehow ties into issue 6 of AvX? Either way, I have hope and faith that Marvel does right by Petey and lets him keep his upgrade.

Nah...that's UXM 11. So, he most likely goes demon-mode in AvX 2 or 3.

Don't think I like him going demon :( In the end this will not be Colossus doing cool shit, it will be demon possession powerup. I would rather see the steel Colossus fighting, not some organic looking demon form.
