He was far and away my favorite male X-Man for a while but he has been used so poorly over the last few years IMO. I hated his death but it was part of a good story and a nice heroic sacrifice on his part. Whedon IMO did a very poor job with his resurrection. He was nothing but a prop for Kitty and the retread of their relationship was so blah. It's a bad relationship for both characters. Then of course Fraction had him as mopey/angry Piotr for so long. I'm curious to see how he handles the character now that Kitty is back....
I think he'd be best used in Legacy with Rogue post SC.
Anyone have pictures of when Colossus was sketching Psylocke?
Or any pictures of Colossus involved in his art? I love those.![]()

If Carey were still writing that mix-match group he had in his first 12 issues +, I would have loved to see Colossus as a member of the group. He showcased all his characters well and they all had moments to shine. I recall he wrote Colossus right before Messiah Complex started.

Iron Curtain from the Russian supergroup "Exiles" was a more nuanced strongman character:

Colossus was a commie? Oh well. I'm glad he got rid of the shoulder flap costumes.
Welcome, colossalreign! Was wondering where you were at! What are your thoughts on our man of steel? What are your fav moments, pics, etc?

My third favorite X-Man (after Psylocke & Archangel)!
I wish they'd give him another mini-series; hopefully one that retcons that travesty David Hine wrote several years ago...
Colossus is my favorite character in comics, hands down.
But damn, his characterization has sucked for quite some time. Too often background filler, never seeming to play a significant role in anything important.
I would love for a writer who is actually interested in telling stories with well-fleshed out characters to get a-hold of Colossus and several other underutilized x-men, and really go to town with them. I'm talking a small cast with no wallpaper characters.
