Because Colossus was use as a stepping stone for the more popular Superheros.
Colossus thunderclap look to be more lethal than the Hulk.

Ahhh...so that's the panel before Petey tosses Spidey. Safe to assume that Petey could have killed Spidey right there and then, but didn't.

On a side note, it looks like AvX5 (the issue where Petey fights the Hulk) is gonna involve Petey and Kitty somehow. Also, AvX6 may apparently tie into their updated relationship status as well. And I also assume that's the issue where Petey loses/gives up his Juggy powers. Le sigh.

You think so? Isn't it too soon? I really hope he doesn't lose the power. There are so many stories that you can tell with Cyttorak. I personally don't want Kitty and Peter back together anytime soon. Them breaking up was a breath of fresh air for both characters. It's so weird if they got back together this soon.

It would be a dam shame if the extinction team separated after avx, it's just getting interesting. No Colossus w/ gem also means the e-team gets a massive hit in the power department. They won't be the intimidating force they are now. ( You still have Hope, Magik, Magneto and Danger...but every team on this level needs a Hulk/Juggernaut type Brick backing you up.) We haven't seen this team reach it's true potential yet. An avatar of the phoenix force, An avatar of Cyttorak, The Hell Lord and ruler of Limbo plus Mags, danger, etc..should be a team that can challenge the Annihilators. We haven't seen anything close to this so far.

When is that issue coming out? So he fights the hulk in avx 5, we see Colossus as we have never seen him before in 6 ( he probably loses it and goes on a warpath..) then what happens? How do you think he loses the power? Geez, back to regular love sick colossus who gets trampled on by the bigger guns? He won't fit in the e-team if that happens...I thought this deal w/ Cyttorak was supposed to change him forever.
