Colossus, the Lovable Russian Commie Appreciation

Hello! I really like Collosus and think he is underused. Here is a scan I quite like that I think shows his potential.

Uncanny X-Men 315 by Scott Lobdell/ Roger Cruz. Piotr defends a little german in peril for betraying Magneto's cause. What ever happened to that character? I thought he had potential, like Scanner.

Now, that's one fine little thread.

Colossus is my second or maybe third X-character fav, loooove the big dude.

Kind of boring when he is all "snowflakes !! where is snowflakes ?! SNOWFLAKES !!!!" but beside that he's da man.

And him and Kitty ? Pure sweetness.

Only second to Iceman, Colossus is my next favorite character...

I loved this version of him in the movie FAR BETTER than in "The Last Stand", where he looked like a low budget Terminator T-1000.

Yeah, he was a nice version of a younger Peter.

Well, visually at least cause the poor actor didn't say much in this movie.

Even if the character didn't say much in the movie, this is probably the best representation of the character. Having the fiberous lines that somewhat coincide with the horizontal lines on his comic book counterpart is exactly how I would invision a real world version of the character would turn out to be.

It's a shame they didn't do the same for the following movie. But I think that's partly because they needed to spend the budget on other effects, so the chrome mask and body suit was most likely the cheapest option for them without compromising the appearance too much.

I agree it gets old, but sometimes he would not be Petey without it. It is either "where is my Katya!" or "Where is my snowflake?!" And also in one of Excalibur's final issues when Kurt dissapears helping Pete Wisdom Peter put together the team and found him and he was all like "WHERE IS KURT!" not the first time either. I wish we would get to see more of that friendship. They were sort of best buds before Kurt started hanging with Logan. Ah, well...

And speaking of leading... I always saw Peter as a co-leader in some of his Excalibur days, as well as being a "lawyer" when he was an Acolyte. I would not be adverse to him leading or co-leading a team...

What did people think of is roll in Earth X? To those few that read it? He was a Czar wasn't he?

Wow, when did Hank start using the juice? He looks like he should be in a n old issue of Wildcats there.

Colossus has always been my favorite x-man, but hes been criminally underused since he came back.

Colossus Bloodlines was one of the worst stories hes appeared in. I glad people seem to ignore it. Its a bit like his Draco, though not near as bad. In retrospect im glad he was dead when Austen took over the books. He was spared the indignity that might have caused.
