The best thing about Superboy Prime is that he's the joke everyone thinks is about someone else.
And for the record, you don't get to revive Hal Jordan, Kilowog and the Lost Lanterns, Barry Allen, Eobard Thawne, Captain Boomerang, Hank Hall, and Firestorm, and then make fun of fanboys for wanting DC back the way it was when they were kids.

Apparently, you do. Johns got promoted to basically running DC based on his popularity for reinvigorating those characters, and others (Hawkman, the Flash rogues, etc.). He's also brought back newer characters too, like the 90s Superboy, Bart Allen, etc.
Of course the truth is that DC has concepts dating back 70 years and is always mixing and matching ideas and characters from different eras. Johns just gets that better than most. His main villains in Sinestro Corps War all came from 3 VERY different eras: One from the 60s, one from the 80s, and 2 from the 90s.
Which are eras from before he even started reading comics. The man wrote fan letters to the 90s Superboy comic. He is himself an 80s and 90s DC brat.
One that also brings in newer characters to replace older ones too.
The point of Superboy Prime isn't to make fun of stodgy OLD fans. Just stodgy fans.
And as these board show day in and day out, there are plenty of those from EVERY era.
I'm actually glad that Prime survived. He's getting better with each appearance and might even do something heroic/good this time around.
That's a lot more positive then previous articles, so I'm glad to hear that.Lee also showed off his brand new iPad, and on the subject of digital comics, mentioned that while DC will pursue digital comics in the future, they will not be pursuing them as a replacement to print.
Superboy Prime is awesome. U gotta love him.
"You can't trust them as poets either. The true poet is anonymous, as to his habits, but these boys have to look, act, and apparently smell like poets"
Flannery O'Connor on the beats.
