Default How do you see Fraction handling Thor during his run ?

What do you expect to see ? Epic action and battles, great characterisation, awesome artwork, omnious threats, bad storytelling ?

I know Fraction has said that he wants to bring the Kirbyesque Thor back to the MU during his run, so, do you think Thor will be cutting loose alot more powerwise than how we have seen him ?

Will he still have that wise mentality that JMS built up for him, or will he just revert back to the " have at thee's !! "smash first ask questions later ?

I'm really hoping he keeps with the same mentality JMS brought to him but this time he cuts loose alot more than he did before. Considering that he will be going up against some really " big" threats on his travels thru the Nine Worlds ( or is it ten ? ) . Then I expect to see more of a raging thundergod who does not need to hold back alot.

I am looking forward to Fraction & Ferry's run
    thoughts ?

I've only read Fraction's Thor one-shots and the first 5 or 6 issues of his Invincible Iron Man so that's all I have to base my opinion off of. Just the fact that he's said he wants to bring back a more Kirbyesque Thor has me excited. I love classic Lee/Kirby Thor and I take Fraction's statement to mean that we'll get to see Thor have some more cosmic-level adventures where he can really cut loose. Not too many because he's still on the Avengers, but it's only in Thor's title that we can really see him cut loose and I feel like Fraction is going to oblige. I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Hopefully Thor won't be sidelined for a generic new guy named bob.

Really enjoyed Fraction's one shots and Secret Invasion - except for the character design of the Female Super Srull -Blechh.

I don't know where he'll put Thor's power level but he does a great job of depicting Thor in action and it sounds like he has a great idea for a story arc.

    Liked his Ironman very much.

    Looking forward to this

I was thinking of droping thor du to his work on Uncanny.

But now I'm starting to think the X-editors are the reason the main book is so bad.
since Ralph Machino is editing IM and thor.

I haven't read any of the classic Thor runs but according to Fraction, It'll be very similar to Kirby's take on the character; Myth tinged with Science. I believe he's also researching about Quantum Physics and Norse Mythology.

So, yeah, I believe it will be awesome!!!!!

Exactly. I know next to nothing about Quantum Physics, but I know it's cool. I love reading about Norse Mythology so I know that's awesome. The two together? That could either be really awesome or very confusing, but I'm leaning towards REALLY AWESOME!

I'd rather there be a different artist because Ferry is so better suited for Iron Man than he is Thor.

Really? I think he's a great fit for Thor.

Anyway, I'm sure Fraction will do well with Thor and hopefully brings back a lot of classic Thor foes like he did in his Iron Man run. Really looking forward to his Thor/Iron Man FCBD issue. And his previous work on Thor is really good too.

I'm looking forward to any villains who aren't Loki for awhile. The horse has been beat to death already. Put a moratorium on Loki stories for at least a year.

I agree to all of these things. There are so many great villains in the MU, I'm sick of seeing these go to guys always getting the spotlight.

Seriously. They shouldn't be in the books for another two or three years.
