I loved Stacy X. Besides Juggernaut/Sammy, she was one of the only reasons I kept reading that awful X-Men run at that time. The Lady Bug moment was hilarious.

    Today is riddled with disappointments.

I would have rather seen Stacy than Shinobi Shaw in Necrosha.

I would actually read X-Factor if she were involved. She's so much fun. I wish Casey would come back and resurrect her character.

Oh, that's the first suggestion for a new X-factor member on this board I can really stand by, She would be a perfect addition.

Also, going on something said before...Stacy X would also be a pretty sweet addition to a Deadpool comic.

I would not be opposed to them as Marvel's new power couple.

I'd think a Deadpool/Stacy X hook up would be too similar to his fling with Typhoid Mary.

I take comfort in the thought that she and Kurt will make sweet love in the afterlife.

Hey! It's nice to meet you. Generally I respect and value the opinions of all posters, but in this instance, I'm going to need you to take your negative ass and GTFO of my thread. Thanks in advance!

Stacy X was one of the best, but I think she was one of the more horribly marked in New Warriors. Her and Angel--my favorites of the early years of last decade (OMG!) are nearly irreparable.

Also I think love for the Uncanny annual where Stacy tells her origin story is the best indicator for friendship. <3

Is it too late to say she was replaced by a Skrull?

The concept of mutants who made their living as sex workers is actually a good one and has plenty of story potential. However it was largely squandered in favor or exaggerated characterization which soon descended into childish vulgarity.

The best use of Stacy-X was in issue #408 where she was shown using her powers on a client who was in a great deal of relentless pain because of a terminal condition. She used her gifts to provide the comfort that the client could not get from regular medical treatment.

The fact that she was introduced as an unrepentant prostitute overshadowed other uses for the character which is unfortunate given her acerbic personality, interesting visual, and fighting skill. There was plenty to work with. It was as if Casey (and later Austen) were trying to outdo Grant Morrison's controversial concepts while he was working on the other volume of X-Titles at the time, only to find out that they didn't have similar skills with esoteric character concepts.

Compared to the ex-terrorists and button men running around the X-Men an unrepentant prostitute is a moral paragon by comparison.

What was interesting to me about Stacy was that she seemed clearly aware of this even when her x-peers were not.

Are you saying that her being an unrepentant prostitute was bad for her character? That's kind of one of the parts of her I love. She is what she is and she does what she's good at; she has no issues with her occupation that others do, and she shouldn't. There's nothing wrong with getting paid to do what you're good at.

Also, I see no vulgarity in her speech about the sweet taste of lust.
