Default CBR: WC10: Green Lantern's Brightest Day

At WonderCon, Geoff Johns, Judd Winick, James Robinson and host of other DC talent shined a light on upcoming storylines as "Brightest Day" begins, including news of returning heroes, the JLI reborn, and one JLA member's upcoming romance.

So Ivan Reis is going to Green Lantern Corps then, even better.

Interesting reply to Jade and Kyle meeting in JLA #47, I'd like to check that out but I don't know if I want to really buy a JLA issue for that unless the whole issue is good and Robinson hasn't been doing anything for me.

I though Ardian Syaf is going to draw Green Lantern Corps, but Ivan Reis is very cool.

I don't think that was at the Newsarama's report and it doesn't ring true.

Ivan Reis is one of the biggest stars in comics right now. Why would he be put in the second Green Lantern book? I see him in something like the JLA next.

What makes me happy is at the panel, they talked about how weird JLA 47 will be for Kyle because Jade AND Donna are on that team. I really hope they take an awkward and humorous approach to that rather than make it dramatic or angsty.

One could see Kyle as either being the luckiest or unluckiest guy with women in the DCU, Donna and Jade on the JLA and Soranik Natu in the GLC, this is the defination of awkward

    Sad news about Ted Kord.

But I am a fan of the 12 being resurrected for a reason. I wonder who will be the one to betray Superman and who will be the one to doubt him?

It might be temporary stop gap type of thing while they look for someone else.

Originally it was supposed to be Adrian Syaf but it looks like he'll have his hands full with Brightest Day. I don't really mind, I think that book benefits even more from having a high profile artist after Blackest Night. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he stayed as ongoing artist.

The live posting made sure to reiterate the fact that they said "Not yet, anyway" to Ted Kord being resurrected. So I doubt it's a "never" situation.

Reis on GLC? Hell ya! That guy is one hell of a workhorse, unlike a lot of other artists in modern comics.

They always said that Adrian Syaf would be on GLC only for the first arc.

Larfleeze looking for Santa? Hell YES!

Really sad about Kord though at least for now.

The premise for the JLI series sounds pretty intriguing, and I like the cast. I might just have to pick that up now.

These panels need more Hawkman and Hawkgirl related tidbits, though. If nothing else, I wish someone would ask about their look. I'd like to know if there's a story-related reason to Carter and Shiera's appearances in Blackest Night #8, or if it's just an homage to help further solidify their place as the Silver Age Katar and Shayera in modern DCU continuity.

I'm pretty sure the guy on the cover for JL: Generation Lost is Ted. And you also have JM DeMatteis talking about Ted in his site.

Maybe it's a time travelling Ted, but I still think that he came back at the end of Johns' run on Booster Gold and I would be thrilled to have both him and Max Lord back as they were, heroes and friends.
