she has potential. i don't know that i picked up on any vibe between them in the issues of Dark Reign War Machine that i read.
Reading like Cybermancer having then.

Suzi Endo is a better choice for Rhodey's girl than Rae- Jim's his own man and cant be always following Tony's lead, if you know what I mean.
Suzi also allows Jim to operate independent of Tony.
We just need to let marvel know that they can NOT put Suzi, Bethany and the rest of the "War Machine knock-off squad" into limbo!
If nothing else, Tony might take real issue to those also-ran War Machine suits flying around, getting into all sorts of international incidents...
Rhodey and his backup crew (no pun intended) need to hook up with the WCA (Mockingbird and Hawkeye's new anti-terror group) and the Eaglestar Co. needs to be a target of the Secret Avengers.
I wonder what Steve thinks of Rhodeys handling of those guys? It was pretty harsh by Steve's standards.
You guys pick up this week's Moon Knight? It guest-stars the secret Avengers and MK's take on Rhodey is insightful- "Half marine, half south Philly in a composite alloy armor..."
I think Rhodey and Moon Knight have the most in common, really.

Suzi seems good but at the same time I didn't really pick up any "feelings" that could lead to a relationship between the two. Though I need to go back and reread.
Crazy Rae totally needs to make a comeback though.

were you guys aware that Rae Lacoste was, at one point, intended to be Cassie Lang's biological mother/Scott's ex? if you look at Cassie from A-Next, she looks a little like Rae. and if you look at Scott Lang's original handbook bio his wife is listed as Peggy Rae Lang. ok, enough with the useless trivia. i understand why you might not be for Rhodey hooking up with Bethany or anyone else that Stark dated first. i don't see anything wrong with him and Suzi. but like Psycwave mentioned, there weren't any sparks there. Cybermancer was all business during their series. that makes me lean towards Shuri or someone new. i used to want him and Monica to hook up. but Doc Voodoo beat him to it. no matter what i think Glenda's going to always be the one who got away/the love of his life.

I'd rather see Glend and her husband stay together- it makes them interesting charcaters to have a marriage they need to constantly work at- and it keeps him on the good side: being a better man to keep her.
it makes Rhodey a better character too- both having long-dormant feelings for Glenda while being a stand-up guy and not pulling a "Namor".
Bethany is a good choice too- she's tough and we dont see near enough of her.
What I'd avoid is pairing Rhodey up with some established character just because they are black- eah, Shuri and rhodey might hit it off, but it wuld have to be really well written for it to not feel shoehorned in.
Hmm...you know, Steve really needs to recruit Rhodey's support team into the Avengers's organization- that way poor Tony would be surrounded by former lovers and never catch a break!
