Good interview, FANTASTIC episode. John Noble is such a great actor, the show on its own is good, but he just brings the show up to such a high level, I'm really looking forward to the rest of the season.

Agreed. This was such a great episode. And we find out how Nina got like she is.

I wonder if Walternate is in charge of this First Wave group from the alternate universe trying to invade ? Figuring its the best way to get his son back. Also, the inevitable confrontation between the two Walters.

Also, loved the alternate opening credits made as if the show was made in the 80's.

The new intro (and lettering for the scenes) was cute for a one-off flashback episode, but I hope it doesn't stick around.

I swear I remember seeing Walternate at Walter's insane asylum in the episode Walter briefly went back in.

I enjoyed this episode. I actually sought out the original Fringe season 2 topic, but couldn't find it despite using the search engine.

Same thing happened with the vampire diaries thread as well.

I was thinking that it was done specifically for this ep. The fonts and music seemed very 80's. Even the fringe science terms featured in the intro seemed to be realistic by today's standards. I could've sworn I saw in-vitro fertilization listed.

It was really cool seeing a "vintage" fringe.

Yup, along with "stealth technology" and "virtual reality." Items that perhaps would be considered fringe science in 1985, but not today. It was the show being cute.

GREAT episode (again). I wonder if they'll explore the gal who was Walter's assistant in the flashback? She seemed to be fairly chummy with Nina.

Yeah, that alternate intro was pretty damn sly. Nice. Also the episode was pretty amazing. While it seemed obvious what happened, with Walter abducting Peter from the other world, it was the little details that were filled in that made the episode and added much more depth to the characters. Not to mention make it all the more heart breaking.

It also has me convinced that the Walter on the otherside is still looking for his Peter..

His looking for Peter may be the reason why there's an interdimensional war brewing.

If William Bell is residing in the alternate earth, I wonder where his alternate self is?

Depends. Peter was taken out of the house by a man both peter and his mother believed to be Walter. When Walter comes home without Peter, claiming to have no idea what his wife is talking about when she says he took him, there are a number of possible outcomes that could end with Walternate in jail, in a nuthouse (for insisting his alternate world double took his son), free and obsessed with getting to the other side to find his son (although you'd think that if that were the case, he'd be just as capable of coming over as "our" Walter was and have done so by now). There a lot of ways it could go.
