Amora the Enchantress Appreciation

A technical question and a little complaint.

Someone can tell me what I must do for that an Appreciation Thread can work? What would be the steps to work?

I created this thread on Saturday and unfortunately it looks dead after 4 days, well, 6 replies on my part and a little few from other people and 276 views, also I see that other Appreciation Threads work very well and I don´t know what I have done wrong for this thread is not working.

I'm begin to think that by my insistence on speaking about the Enchantress on these years, a character that I love and I would always see and read good stories about her, I´m causing that she would be more hated than Sentry or simply create a big indifference that is worse than hate.

I don't know if people really understand what I say. Perhaps, for that thread can work, the fact that there are recent news could help, any introduction for those who don't know her, pictures, less complaints and more action... but I couldn't do all that, if I do alone, is very clear that the thread will end up dead with the idea that nobody cares about this character.

Other than her appearances in the Wonder Man monthly waaay back when, I don't believe I've read any Enchantress stories...?

Visually she's a great character, and you all seem to really like her so maybe I'll do some Wiki research.

She's basically Catwoman to Thor's Batman. Those types of characters are often fairly popular, at least as far as supporting characters go.

Ugh, I didn't see those. I would really, really, really hope Bendis NEVER put his hands on her. Female (and not jessica jones)? Check. Goddess/godly/whatever else over Luke Cage level? Check. Imo in his hands sounds as a recipe of failure and tragedy.

I've always appreciated that the Enchantress's real name "Amora" both references love (amor) and is really close to AMORAL. The dichotomy fits the character!

As an Avenger? I would never want to see her defanged ala Emma Frost and prefer her as a wicked wicked woman. Perhaps with an occasional showing of genuine affection for Thor but no mercy for anyone else.

His Morgan Le Fay was pretty decent in the first Dark Avengers arc. Enigmatic, kinda sexy, and seriously not f***ing around in a fight.

The "Doom, you didn't come f*** me while you were on prison, now i am gonna... kill you for not f***ing me" really doesn't sell to me. It is too 'heart'bleeding crazyness. That and her getting 'killed' thrice by people that she could have blown in the first place (like she did to Sentry in her return). One would imagine that with all that magical power she would have better defenses, at least against moonstone and bullseye. She appeared 'badass' just so the DA could look badass too. No way I want Amora to be used in a similar fashion.

Anyway, we digress about Le Fay, we are all here too cheer at Amora's awesomeness :)

With Bendis, or Fraction, there is hope for the character.

Although, I'd have preferred JMS have gotten around to writing a story with her prior to his leaving Thor. Que sera.

I think you are right in what you say and I really hope to see something good in Avengers Prime and that Bendis respects the character and her history.

She's not evil, she is a very special character that can be seen as the only Marvel "villainess" with a very real motivation and an Asgardian goddess very close to the Human World.

Another thing, there is something very curious about the Enchantress´s Costume, if you realize of all the Marvel characters, Amora the Enchantress, is perhaps one of the characters that rarely has a change of her costume.

Her costume has always been the same (green colour, tiara with some changes, her characteristic and great stockings, skirt, gloves ...) with subtle and small differences and for this reason, she has been very easy to identify, while other characters with so much change has been a little more difficult to recognize.

With these images I put, you will see an evolution on how was The Enchantress´s Costume on her first appearance to the present day, with the only changes in New Mutants Asgard´s story from Arthur Adams, the Warren Ellis run, Thor: Son of Asgard and perhaps Ages of Thunder-Reign of Blood.
