Do you think it would work, hearing Batman narrate in the movies?
Kind of a strange question, in the Nolan movies no... but in a future film series why not... well if the script/story calls for it... honestly I can't decide, it is a strange question.
Didn't work in Watchmen, even; wouldn't work in Batman.
Like I said it would depend on the movie, if it was a 1940's noir based story possibly if it were a bizarre campy take then maybe, but in terms of Nolan's gritty realistic style not really. Hope this helps.
Batman's point of view is certainly interesting, but I don't think it would work very well. Even as much as we know about Batman's personal thoughts, there's still a great deal of mystery to his psyche. Making him the narrator opens the door to his innermost thoughts and reactions, which actually detracts from the character, imho. Gritty, quasi-mysterious characters don't often make good narrators simply because they offer more to the audience when we don't know precisely what they're thinking.
You know it sounds like a good idea, but I don't think it would work with Nolan's films.

No. But Alfred could.
I often find narration in movies stupid. Nowadays its used as a crutch for a bad story more often than not. If you really need to tell the audience what is going on, that is a fail.
This is one of those things that works great on the page, but would be pretty lame on the big screen. I love the Narration boxes in comics. Hell, often times the narration boxes are more interesting than the dialogue in the speech bubbles.
I think narration kind of worked in the Sin City movie, I just don't see it working for Batman.
Agreed with most, if Batman were to start narrating in the next Nolan film, it'd just seem out of place considering it hasn't been used in the previous films.
Didn't Bruce narrate in one of the episodes in the recent Gotham Knight film?

No, a skilled director should be able to create a movie wherein we *know* what Batman is thinking in that moment, without having to be spoon-fed his thoughts.
So, a big no from me to Batman narration, a big part of the mysterious onscreen persona would be broken if we were allowed to hear his 'normal' thoughts, it would break the illusion of his becoming a different person, 'The Batman', 'the creature of the night', in the flicks.
This is more easily achieved in comics, so the illusion is not broken when we read his inner thoughts, but we need all the illusion we can get with a movie to have that mysterious persona fully realised, and that would be broken, to hear the 'creature' think like a normal man.
