I haven't read an Image comic since Spawn was around issue 50-60.

However these teasers have me intrigued and since it's only a mini series, I may check this out.

Question for those who read a lot of Image: Are these new characters or established ones?

    Thumbs down

After last weeks' crazyness, those third-rate Invincible characters are really underwhelming. Even Brit is fairly obscure.

    Both.
Some will be established characters already seen in Invincible and the Image Universe and apparently some are going to be new from other parts of the globe that we haven't seen yet. Like Outrun.

It's going to be a mix. The Guardians of the Globe have been around since issue #1 of Invincible. They're the team that Invincible's dad Omni-Man was a member of. But unlike teams like the Justice League and the Avengers, sometimes members of the Guardians die. As a matter of fact, Kirkman just recently killed a fan-favorite, and says he's staying dead, period. And he owns the character, so he can do that. To me, this makes his stuff more exciting, because anything really can happen. Even Invincible himself isn't necessarily safe.

But anyway, Brit actually pre-dates Invincible by a little (I think) and is a GREAT character, but Outrun is new. We'll know more as they release the rest of the roster, I guess.

Outrun is totally new ? She hasnt appeared in other Image superhero title ?

That makes this a bit more exciting. Not just the heroes from Invincible and a few new ones.
    Pull List:
    The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
    American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing

Thanks. I saw some things on Wiki regarding Invincible but I wanted to hear from the CBR fans. Again thanks Dave and Toygeek.

You know this looks good to me. But i have never read a single issue of invincible so i don't know who these characters are. So I'll pick up the Mini and hope there is some more supplemental material down the line.

Just want to clear a few things up.

The Guardians of the Globe debuted in Invincible #8, and were created simply to be killed off in that issue. Originally they were just copies of the Justice League's big 7. Who killed them? Omni-Man. And he was never really a member of the GOTG. He worked with them and considered them friends but he never officially joined them.

After Omni-Man killed them (with the Immortal surviving... obviously) the team was taken over by a branch of the goverment and restarted with a few allies of Invincible and a few new characters.

Since then they have appeared here and there throughout Invincible and as has been stated.... a few of them have been killed off.

Funny thing about Rex Splode... he didnt become a fan favorite until he died. No one seemed to care about him until he died....

I imagine it's been said before, but the fact that Image is using the Avenger's style promos after their original parody goes beyond lame.

You know, I was purposely leaving out names and plot points so I wouldn't spoil it for someone who might actually be interested in reading it for themselves.

I will admit to being wrong about the Guardians being there since issue #1. I was sure they were part of that battle Nolan was having on TV in in the first issue. Apparently I'm wrong...though Omni-Man wasn't a member of the Guardians in the same way that Batman's not a member of the Justice League.

And I liked Rex. He was a bit of a bastard, but he was fun.

There are (I think) 3 Brit trades that if your LCS doesn't already have, they should be able to get. They're VERY good, especially the first one, which is a collection of the first 1-shots, and thus a little less "superhero-y" than his ongoing was.
