Did Cable Send Sage to Spy on Bishop?

It's a fact that Grams (Storm) warned Bishop that "the Askani son" would protect Hope as an infant. It's very likely that Cable knew Bishop would be the one to try to kill her. It's also known that Cable contracted out when he asked that giant RETCON, spoilers:

Cable and Sage rejoined the X-Men together. In fact, Cable's attempt to protect Senator Kelly was the mission that drew Tessa back into the fold. Hungry for future knowledge for vague and shadowy reasons, Tessa sought out the Destiny Diaries. It's likely that she was also drawn to Cable and Bishop for their information.

As a member of the 06, Cable knew Sage could be trusted.

As the most competent of the original X-Men, Cable knew not only could Sage be trusted to go undercover, she would go the extra mile and sell her body to accomplish the mission.

Sage went along, but she didn't fully trust Cable. She hired Deadpool to spy on Cable while Sage was spying on Bishop. She had both bases covered.

I don't think she's so much working with Cable as she is making Cable work for her. It's canon that Sage is a master strategist and planner. Therefore even without precognition I'm sure her analysis of various information let her know that Hope was going to be coming at some point in the near future. She's the one who probably gave Cable all of this information. I think she's working behind the scenes to usurp Scott's place as leader post Second Coming.

Cable was probably able to stay one step ahead of Bishop because Sage probably obtained a lot of Bishop's secret plans while they were having sex.

Cable and Sage hooking up makes sense to me. Both in terms of working together and/or having sex.

really interesting theory here going on dn@N.

i could definitely see sage and cable being in on everything from the beginning. sage is a master of tactics and her mutant power lets her analyze even the smallest of details.

she became close to bishop for a reason. this seems viable to me. and, it continues her undercover history with the x-men on so many levels.

nice research - i'm definitely impressed.

Maybe Sage really liked Bishop. She's probably using Cable and Hope to further test Bishop's undying devotion to her. Bishop has been trying to shake off her influence on him. Everyime he has had the opportunity to kill Hope, he hesitates because he's trying to shake off Sage's effects on him. But she has some powerful mojo.
