HOLY CRAP! This better not be a early bad april fools joke because that would be mean. A Darkwing Duck comic! Yes!!!!! 100 times yes! I will be getting this.
It's no April Fool's joke (for one, the book comes out in June). Thanks for your enthusiasm. I hope you enjoy the book!

I know I was more kidding around when I said. I am long time fan of the show so I am looking forward to the book.
Awesome. All of us on the book are working hard to make sure it pleases fans of the show!

Ian, I was wondering (and apologies if this was covered in the article, I read all except for the plot summaries as I am a unrepentant spoilerphobe) if this project was initiated by Boom, or by Disney. Kinda curious as to how these things work. In any case, I intend to pick up each issue in the LCS (I guess I'll have to special order it, knowing my nearest shop :P) rather than Amazon the trade as I usually do. This is definitely a project that I want to support to the fullest!
thewalker: Aaron Sparrow, who is in charge of the Disney books at BOOM!, knew there were some major DARKWING fans amongst the people he works with at Disney. Being big DW fans ourselves Aaron and I came up with a pitch, they dug it and here we are!
I appreciate your support! The first issue is solicited in the next issue of Previews for you to make the order.

YES! This is going to be great! 3.99 is a bit steep but i'm sure it'll be worth it.
Biru-no tanima-no kurayami-ni, Supaida-man!
Havok was right.
This is awesome news, and will be my first Boom comic! Can't wait! Been years since I've seen the show, but it was one of my favourite cartoons as a kid.
Honestly, if there's an old Disney's series that I want to see in the comics is "The Mighty Ducks". Yes, I know Disney sold the real hockey team, but the TV series and the movies with actors still belong to Disney. I saw in my country's Disney Cinemagic the movies "D2: The Mighty Ducks" a few days ago.
YES, Thank you Boom Studios.
I mean I was just talking about how much Saturday mornings have lost it flavor, and its news like this that make me feel like a kid again.
I mean I was a HUGE fan of Darkwing Duck as a kid and to see him return in some form makes me smile from ear-to ear.
I can't wait for it to come out.
However, when will it come out ?
Sold! I hated dropping the new Uncle $crooge comic because the stories were too light and clearly meant for a younger audience. But Ian's interview has me anticipating this series already. There are a lot of Darkwing fans out there who miss the combination of humor and adventure that the cartoon brought to the screen. It didn't talk down to kids and adults could appreciate the references to stuff like Twin Peaks. I really hope this becomes an ongoing title down very soon!
Sounds like some great stuff is on the way for Drake and friends. Thanks, Ian!
Set some time after the show... Darkwing's hung up his cape... his friendships are in tatters... and now he must take up the role of hero once more?
THE DUCK KNIGHT RETURNS.
in 20 years of collecting funnybooks I never thought I would buy a disney book, especialy a "talking animal" book.....wow, some rules were made to be broken
This is going to be so freakin' cool. I really hope that Marvel's status with Disney doesn't interfere with all the enthusiasm and talent behind these BOOM! Kids books. I haven't looked into that whole situation much, but I hope books like this are safe in the hands of the people who obviously care about making them for a long time to come.
