To sum all of what I said in the other topic here...
Please, please, don't let him be the pick.![]()
Chris Evans could be a good choice too. He was good in Sunshine.
I don't think he'll be playing Johnny Storm again anyway.
what a turn of events. guess we wont know til its a done deal.
Personally I think he'd make a good Captain.
Everything burns...
Don't do it, Marvel!

I would actually watch the movie if he gets the part!
Go John!![]()
I hope John Krasinski gets it, he's by far the best actor in the supposed short list. Everyone else is extremely forgettable, plus I love the office and think he could pull it off. Everyone else is just a pretty boy, but hey I trust Marvel with whatever they do, they did a great job with Ironman!
I'm going to have to eat crow and say I actually agree with everyone who initially thought he was a good choice.
Whoever said he needs to be an able comedic actor was right....even if he plays Cap completely straight and honest...he needs to have that same earnest nature Chris Reeve had as Clark Kent (only not so nerdy).
I think he's a good pick.
i hope Alexander Skarsgård comes out of no where to steal the role. He would be a perfect Cap.
Jim can do it!
If he can play the tough guy and then crack jokes then he fits the part perfectly!

Sucks 200 character limit.
True, it doesn't fit the comic-book Steve Rogers.
But, haven't we seen time and time again that direct comparisons don't work in movie form?
In order for the movie to be good certain changes must be made to match the medium. If jokes are what is needed, then so be it.
