Default What Would You Like to see Dwayne McDuffie do with Wonder Woman

A lot of people like how Diana was written in the DCAU, and in the recent Justice League: Crisis of two Earths story by McDuffie.

If he's the next writer on the book, what would you like to see from him?

I'd like to see him NOT use the same characterization from the Justice League cartoon. She was an angry thug most of the time on that show. No thanks!

Fortunately his take on the character in his JLA run and the new DTV was a vast improvement. More of that, please.

And I'd also really like to see more done with Wonder Woman's existing villains (Ares, Cheetah, Giganta, Dr. Psycho, Dr. Cyber, and others...even Circe ). Then again, that's always my wish with any Wonder Woman writer.

    Ditto.

Same answer as all the other threads. Whether it be Morrison or McDuffie, she needs a defining story like DKR and All-Star Superman.

I'd like her to seriously be the advocate for the disenfranchised. If the other heroes are super cops she should be the super social worker.

I just don't know how comfy I feel with McDuffie and female heroes. Seems to make them a little too...forceful, I guess?
OH, AND I'D LOVE TO SEE GRODD.

Hey, according to Dupin, Batman's defining moment comes from beating down Superman.

I like that analogy a lot.

I'm not sold on McDuffie for a WW solo book, but I'm not against it. He really did right by her in Co2E, and showed her as the butt-kicking heart of the team. I have no idea how he would handle her outside a team context.

The JLU Wonder Woman worked for that continuity, but she's not the Diana I know and love. I'm content to leave her in the Timmverse.

Yeah, but according to Dupin, HE'S the man in black, when we all know it's Johnny Cash (No offense, Dupin.)

Exactly what I meant when I said this board wasn't friendly.

And that's not what Batman's defining moment is, but DKR is his defining story.

And for the record, Batman didn't beat Superman in DKR. He did outwit him though.

Dark Knight Returns was one of the most influential comics of all time. Hiketaia ...uhhh....wasn't.

Nor was All Star Superman, his other example.
