Great episode. Tyrion stole the show. When he was reminding Joffrey of his duties as a Baratheon/Lannister was absolutely wonderful. Also, his conversation with Jon helped define him.

Yeah I give up. They would need like a bajillion UNs to take it out. And they would all have to work.
Caetlyn's conversation with Jon was a little nicer than the book. The show didn't have her say "It should have been you." That's probably for the best, as without being able to read her inner monologue, that would have made her come off as really horrible to the audience.
The Dothraki caravan and camp wasn't quite as sprawling as I envisioned it would be, but I supposed there's only so much you can do on a TV budget.

So, i guess they did confirm the whole rape thing, then reinforced it, then had dany decide she....
I'm kinda lost on the motivations there, it honestly seems like from this point on they will just be like
"Ok, they love each other now!" and that's the end of it.
In the end i suppose it doesn't matter.
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning
I seem to recall from the book a mention that she would spoilers:end of spoilers
often focus on the eggs to take her mind off the pain during sex. But on the night she puts her new skills into practice, she basically just rides Drogo's brains out and magically knows that she has conceived a child right then and there.
On another note, this is awesome. We need a gif!

"I can't complain. I got to be Jim Morrison for the first half of my life, and Ward Cleaver for the second half." - Warren Zevon.
So I take it he ACTUALLY did kill the wolf? My wife not only made me stop the show at the point where it appeared he was going to, but said she was done with the show. Being an animal lover (and never having gotten over the death of our dog) she gets depressed and upset if a dog (that is a pet) is hurt or killed in a show, even though it is fiction. If it is a demon dog or a stray that is killing, then it is a grey area for her.
Shame too. If not for one little moment, she was starting to like the show.

Wow. I know everybody's got their (no pun intended) pet peeves, but it never fails to amaze (and to an extent depress) me that people often find violence against other people (even innocents) perfectly acceptable but hurt a semi-domesticated animal and it's all over....
If it helps, you can tell her that the family of the actress that plays Sansa adopted the dog after filming.
I expect people to stop watching because of the marital rape.
I expect people to stop watching because it's overly violent and explicitly bloody.
I expect people to stop watching because some of the important characters are so reprehensible in their actions as to turn one's stomach.
Hell, I even expect people to stop watching because of lack of action through long stretches of intrigue.
But to stop watching over a fictional wolf that's had all of 3 minutes of screen time being killed is a new one on me.
Stay away from the chimps. You can't reason with them and you'll just end up with monkey shit all over your clothes.
Internet hypocrisy #47: Being the undisputed scourge of trolls until the troll supports your side of the debate and then becoming silent.
If you don't get it, fine... But don't give here shit because she doesn't want to watch a show that portrays violence against an innocent creature.

There was an article on EW yesterday about the few people making a fuss about not watching any more because Ned killed Lady.
All the violence and atrocities committed against people are okay but kill one fictional creature and it's all over, they're evil, get PETA on the horn.
If you can't stomach it now, then please, I implore you, stop watching now lest your fragile heart bare witness to what's ahead.
And, before anybody thinks I'm the uncaring sort... I love animals. I have four cats who are like my kids. While I don't like seeing animals get hurt, be it in real life or TV, I've never felt so strongly about a fictional depiction of animal cruelty that I had to swear something off that I enjoy. To each their own though.
