Well I'll be darned. I just saw the first two episodes and I have to say that I am mightily impressed! They seem to have learned lessons from last year and are staying far more faithful to the books. Instead of inserting scenes in the show that have nothing to do with the plot. Well done.

Which scenes bugged you?

What I like about the sex scenes, other than it's fun to watch sex scenes, is that all the actress have to have real breasts. No fake boobs in the kingdoms.

So they changed Asha's name to Yara and they basically made her into a less successful troll

Cat is basically being janked as a character in favor of Robb and Littlefinger is getting pointless scenes to serve the other nonessential character Ros.

Not enough Jon and adding some new stuff that I'm pretty sure didn't happen in the book(knife to his neck in the woods?)

I don't think it's the sort of series that people would just randomly stop watching. Having so many characters means you won't really have a lot of episodes where nothing happens.

Also, one will never stop liking all of them.

That showed him as a backstabber, but they are fleshing out that he truly is a despicable human being. He is more than a schemer he is a pimp and a sexual predator of sorts. I like to think that the client he was referring to to Ros is a certain Bastard of Bolton.

The Bastard of Bolton doesn't seem to bother himself with paying for his prizes. I'm still really upset that they somehow deemed it appropriate to exclude the character. I don't see how they'd put him off until season 3.

Speaking of Season 3, Martin has confirmed that it will roughly cover half of ASOS which is terrific news. Only bad part is that it does not seem like they will bother filming season 3 and 4 back to back. Maybe they'll announce that later if season 2 keeps the rating as consistently awesome as they have been.

This is so far Tyrion's best book, so I am looking for more and more tyrion this season! I really dig is Theon's sister, and the girl he was banging on the ship, are not overly made up, in facet they looks downright "Deadwood Dirty." They look like the kind of people you would expect there. Maybe it is seeing Theon in action and how he crafted his identity on coming back to the Iron Islands a hero really drives his character. I didn't get that as much from the book, but seeing the way he is being played with all that bravado and sadness really rounds him out for me.

Yeah, It was nice to see it played out. When I read it, it didn't come accross as strong a motivation to me, but seeing it really worked. I am a visual learner I guess. :)

And now Theon has something in common with Jaime.

Also I realy liked Balon Greyjoy. I thought he was excellent.

Kind of a bummer. I was hoping they'd either film them back to back or expand season 3 to 13 episodes, so as to better reach a natural point for a finale. The kids are going to noticeably age, and there's not really a timeline break in the story.
