Im getting a bit tired of the Ranger stuff on the North, that storyline is leading the show nowhere fast. The dude with the daughters was fine but that was just more of an interesting scenario than for story purposes.

And i shall refer to his episode as the GOT Girlfriend episode.
And that wildling woman was very neatly groomed down there... which doesnt really make them seem wild.
This was really a spot that needed a massive merkin.

I have not read the books but, I like the North stuff. I think that the Black Watch are completely taken for granted below the wall, but as they say in Winterfell, Winter is coming, and with it an ancient evil far worse than any of the petty fighting going on.
But I have also learned not to predict this story, it's turns are usually unexpected. They set up a confrontation, only to have some event that makes a right angle turn.

I'm a huge fan of the books, and Jon's story arc is definitely my favorite. The did skip over quite a bit of stuff that happened in the book while they were on the Fist of First Men (and while in Craster's Keep), but I think I can see what they are trying to do and where they are going with it. I hope it works, and I hope fans of the show can love/appreciate the story of Jon and the Night's Watch as much as much as book fans do.

I somewhat abashedly admit that that was one of my first thoughts, too.
Stay away from the chimps. You can't reason with them and you'll just end up with monkey shit all over your clothes.

Talisa isn't Talisa for fuck sakes.
Sometimes HBO are able to be subtle.

I can't believe some of you completely missed the point of the scene between "Talisa" and Robb.
    spoilers:
"HERP DERP it's confirmed she's not Jeyne"
    end of spoilers

Thanks, Titan76. I thought he got a kick in there.

I'm not so sure now about my previous post. After rewatching the episode finally, it did occur to me that Tywin could very well know its Arya. I said before he doesn't even know she's missing but the conversation with Littlefinger was cut off from the audience, right before he brought up the subject of Catelyn's daughters. And right before they cut away from that, Littlefinger was studying Arya quite a bit. The show left it completely ambiguous, so for now I still say its somewhat hard to tell at this point. Then again as someone said above, that note about Robb Stark could've been left as a trap. That part happened after Tywin's talk with Littlefinger so its very well possible that he was told about the missing Stark girl and she may be right under his nose. Time will only tell how things turn out.

    I agree. I believe she's lying spoilers:
and she may be revealed as a Lannister bannerman (if not a Westerling).
end of spoilers Robb is even calling her out on it, he called her a liar and told her he could tell she was of noble birth.

I see some of you talking about wishing they'd have kept certain story aspects in the show or go into back stories of characters, etc.

Thought I should mention I'm illustrating really cool back story motion comics for the "Game of Thrones" Season 2 Blu Ray so you WILL be seeing *some* of that.

Im trying to think of a polite way to phrase this...
As a 28 year old man, i was not shocked at seeing it, because groomed hair below the belly button has been the norm my entire life of seeing naked women.

To me it's pretty much just a bunch of old men telling Snow not to be stupid (naive).
They keep building up the danger of the North and all that but we havent seen anything and im getting worried that this might not turn out like the build up it's getting.

In fact, i was more interested in what his wolf was doing than the rest of the stuff. The girl part was pretty predictable. If he would have killed her then that would show that he is learning something from the old men but he didnt.

I think it also has to do with the fact that what is going on in the South is so interesting i dont want to get off it.
I really like seeing the transfer of information.
How Robb's army is riding on wolves simply because he is seen with one. Or when Renly was really killed with magic, or some magical thing, no one believes that and people just think it was an assassin sent by Stannis or Cat.

Of course not, but since they are apparently worried about having real boobs, or so i've heard, why leave this part out?
It's just an observation. It's nothing more than that.

    Just some quick thoughts:

Theon really has become an utterly unlikable sod. And you can see that, at heart, he's a coward desperate for acceptance from someone.
Rodrick went out like a champ. His last line was brilliant and you could see it hit a nerve with Theon, but he didn't possess the wisdom to actually accept it.

Jeoffrey clearly displays why he's completely unsuitable to be a king of any sort. Tyrion dominates all the King's Landing scenes yet again. Hound has a crush.

Tywin's scenes were brilliant. He's obviously a damned clever man and doesn't miss a thing, certainly a true master at berating idiot sub-ordinates. He should be a teacher.
"Let me guess. My theories appall you, my heresies outrage you, I never answer letters, and you don't like my tie!"

Really? Season 2 Blu-Ray is already in the crafting process?
Any chance they release it before 2013?

So for the first boxset is my favourite blu-ray purchase, can't imagine it being easily topped!

So... Cillian Murphy for Ramsay? Can someone start a petition?

Didn't you see the part about people rising from the dead and huge monsters killing everyone?

Just imagine having a teacher as scary as Tywin? "Jimmy, if you do not sit down right now, I'm sending the Mountain to your house to kill your father and rape your mother and sisters. A Lannister always pays his debts".
