I just got around to seeing the last episode and man was it awesome. I'm continually amazed by how great the settings are, Quarth and Harrenhal totally blew me away.

Harrenhall is pretty much as I pictured it....just a physical manifestation of despair

I think it was even better than I imagined, I loved how it just looked like it had been melted down.

Targaryens practiced polygamy in the past. Rhaegar could have easily resurrected that tradition.

The Daenerys comparison is cute too. :)

Most of them are funny, some are more inspired than others.

The Bush one seemed just... lazy in comparison.

Nah, the guy who made it has political leanings, so it would seem forced if he didn't include the bush one after the rest of it.
The ned one was the one part i actually laughed at, when it showed it to someone it took them a minute to get it, and then they laughed. Which i take as a sign of something that took a little effort.

Indeed. It would now be funny if she said she can see Kings Landing from her encampment across the narrow sea though...

The problem with Westerosi people is they never take word of that kind of thing seriously.

    spoilers:
"The Others are raising the dead north of the Wall!" response: silly northerners
"The Lord of Light has returned and is returning life to the dead!" response: silly red priests
"Dragons have come back to life and are living in Slaver's Bay!" response: silly savages
    end of spoilers
and so on, and so on... silly westerosi, they're too busy stabbing each other in the back to notice what IS actually happening in the world.

pretty much....the South (where the power is) view the North as a bunch of backwoods rednecks, the North see the South as a bunch of pampered douchebags

Yeah, but Michelle Bachman's husband would be perfect for that, though he's not as well known. Santorum doesn't have Renly's charisma, but hey, no joke can be perfect.

Besides, Dany shows herself to be more qualified than people give her credit for as time goes on.

Only "poison water". Anyway, the Quartheen only heard about Dany's dragons because her bloodrider told them. Once word has reached the city, I'm sure it will spread, though.

Harrenal looked a bit too much like it belonged in Mordor, in my opinion. From the way it appeared, it's hard to imagine that a great tournament was ever held there.

"Hurr hurr, Bush is retarded!" jokes are both lazy and a betrayal of the ideals liberals supposedly stand for.

Cut 'em some slack, especially on the last one. It'd be like expecting people in medieval England to believe some sailors story about monsters in Egypt.

Or it implies that a boy is more threatening. In Dance of Dragons, Tyrion can be quoted saying that a male Targaryen heir would have a better claim than Daenerys. He wouldn't say "better" if she had no claim.

The news has reached the Eastern Kingdoms. People just don't believe it. They think it's superstitious stories.
