Yes, and still I see no reason why she can't do both. If the Avengers are the best of the best then I think Mel should at least be considered for a reserve members spot or something.

Of the Marvel women she would be one of the "mightiest" choices, and her power-set and background would give her a unique position among the team.

I'd still want her involved in the Thunderbolts program though.

Very nice perspective. If one would look at the Avengers as the best of the best then she really should be on it. All it takes is a little push, but I think given her style and personality, she would become a major and possibly iconic Marvel superheroine. She is a pretty original character. Villain turned good and not a carbon copy of someone else.......I also like the fact that she was a wrestler.

If i recall, she wasnt interested originally because she didnt feel she could be on a team with people that didnt trust her and that she didnt trust (minus hawkeye).
Personally i dont like the idea of someone having to vouch for her. Her actions and abilities should be more than enough to earn her place.

Sometimes i dont even think the people running marvel know what team hawkeyes on (or anyone else for that matter) :P

I didn't actually know why she didn't join....I just figured she'd have to know the people and yeah I'm wrong on anyone needing to vouch for her. Her actions alone would show the Avengers that shes a true hero. I mean she did some amazing feats back when osborn was in charge (Taking on a Superskrull by her lonesome and outsmarting the "truly evil" Thunderbolts at home base). Songbird has come a long way and I really think she missed some opportunity to grow during Dark reign....that should've been her limelight and she should've been a major player when it came to Norman's downfall.

As for Hawkeye.....I agree. I don't think anyone knows what team he is on. First Avengers then New Avengers, now it looks like Mighty Avengers.....just wish I knew where this guy was going. Maybe hes on all Avenger related teams.
