    Question A little help? Batman/Doc Savage/Spirit new line/series?

sometime last year (maybe at SDCC) there was the announcement of a new sub-imprint where they were going to have Batman and some of the old school pulpier characters (i can't recall for sure if the Spirit or the Phantom was going to be in it?)

anyways, i was intrigued and remembered some solid preview art, but did anything happen with this ~ has it been announced/solicited/come out?

I'd search, but i can't even remember what it was called, or for sure who was going to be in it.

    thanks in advance!

yeah, i couldn't remember if it was the Phantom or the Spirit ~ it was a pretty dusty memory.

have their been any lettered previews? I'd forgotten Azzerello was writing this, i've only read 2 things by him and i wasn't the biggest fan... (i wanted to pack up 'For Tomorrow' in a box with a letter politely asking for my money back from DC)

There's been a b&w preview in the back of most of the DC comics for the last couple weeks.

heh, looks like i remembered and got curious about this a day early, CBR just put up a preview on the front page, lol.

    Looks fantastic!!!

So, the article mentions the Batman/Doc Savage one-shot that came out in November ~ was that considered a prequel to this or in-continuity with it?

Don't forget the Batman/Doc Savage special that came out last November. Serves as a bit of a prelude to First Wave.

It feels like something you must try this First Wave Batman or not.

I mean its original, influential heroes like Doc Savage,Spirit.

Nice to see those guys around these days. Yeah i know about the Darwyn Cooke Spirit series.
