Yeah... Cena's selling was weirding me out after a while. In a good way though.

It almost look like Cena was trying to do his own version of Hulking up

From the vibe I get from Hogan and Abyss I would like to atleast see Hogan try to groom Abyss back into his monster role. Flair is mentoring AJ so why not have Hogan mentor Abyss. Build Abyss up as the guy that could stand a chance in beating AJ.

Think of it as The Rock vs Mankind. But in this case it's Styles vs Abyss

Which is way off for them to gain. At this moment the TNA fans know who Joe is...they still chant he's gonna kill people. Hell even losing to Orlando Jordan won't kill him. And thats....Orlando Jordan.
But they are trying to expand to a larger audience, an audience who doesn't know who Joe is, or who Orlando Jordan is most likely. The people in the Impact Zone do not reflect the audience they are going for. It represents the wrestling fans in the area who have year passes for the place, which as a citizen of Florida costs about as much as a single ticket does. Due to taxes and all.

To me its how well the match goes. If you make Joe such a threat he beats the Hulkster pretty good...and Hulk wins a hard fought one....you may hook fans to watch Joe long term. To me its how TNA books it.
It's worked so well in the past, remember the long main eventing careers of Zeus, Typhoon, Akeem, Big Boss Man, Earthquake, and various members of the Dungeon of Doom.

I would be laughin for the fact he couldn't stop from losing his belt to a guy who can barely work and my image of Batista would be him weezing outside the ring as he loses.
Well it wouldn't likely be Batista all weezy and unable to get there, it would more logically be Cena taking out Batista so Hart could get revenge, if it were to happen. You seem to keep ignoring in this hypothetical match and result that Cena is even around and insist that Batista is standing there in the corner breathing too hard that he can't stop Bret.

But will Abyss become a "mini" Hulk like AJ has turned into a mini Flair? I really don't want to see Abyss come out there in fucking yellow and red and rip his shirt to start the match, seeing AJ in Flair's robe was sickening enough.

Im with you on that. What I hope would happen is that Abyss just return to the unstoppable monster that he once was. He still remains as Abyss but thanks to Hogan's coaching some of the old Abyss returned.

Me too, but for me it was thinking back to his neck surgery and those chair shots hitting a weak spot. I know WWE doesn't follow any kind of continuity, so I just put that in my head.

That is my hope too. Just with the added benefit of him being able to speak some, as he's is completely dedicated to being his character and it shows in promos.

I just saw a commercial for Lockdown tickets going on sale (live in St. Louis region) and it said "where every title will be defended in a steel cage" so it sounds like only the title matches will be caged and not everything and it didn't say six sides of steel so it won't be switching rings for it either.

I wish that an exception could be made for the six sides of steel. Like they could bring them back for special event PPV's

    Thumbs up

    Finally got to watch NXT.

I enjoyed seeing the Liontamer and that table bump as awesome.

I think Bryan needs to learn how to use his speed and technique a bit better (not that it's bad), that table spot looked like a Yogi Bera "welcome to the big leagues, kid" moment. Bryan is awesome in ring but he does lack in dialing it down at times.

Man, some of these rookies make Jericho look big.

    Different strokes for different folks.

Which is weird because when I had this debate over Hogan and Bischoff coming in to do this exact thing , some didn't agree. I mean we know TNA is trying to grow an audiance . How do you do this...by doing big programs at big PPV's. If its Joe /Hogan you can give it 2 months of build and make it a big time program.

If its Hogan/Styles (which make more sense now) you can build to that BFG PPV. And if its booked and done right , you may latch more newer fans onto AJ Styles.

It's worked so well in the past, remember the long main eventing careers of Zeus, Typhoon, Akeem, Big Boss Man, Earthquake, and various members of the Dungeon of Doom.
Big Show was also a member of that Dungeon of Doom if we remember right and they were Hogan's main rogues the later part of 1995. After he had ran thru Flair and Vader.

Personally if your using Hogan's name to nail down a Monday Night timeslot and Impact ratings....ya might as well try and lure more to buy a PPV . To make money. And more watching a product and spending money , may make them latch onto these new characters.

Well it wouldn't likely be Batista all weezy and unable to get there, it would more logically be Cena taking out Batista so Hart could get revenge, if it were to happen. I see Batista outside the ring slowly standing as he brawls with Cena , like he just competed in an Iron Man Match , standing and not able to stop Bret Hart from making Vince McMahon tapping out. All while I laugh hard at that image.

What threw me off was how small Danielson looked when compared to Miz. He makes Miz look like the Big Show

Yeah, Danielson does look a bit small. Overall I don't think he has a great look as far as his build or physique goes.

But he's a good well rounded performer... and it seems like the WWE is pushing him perhaps moreso than any of the others, so they at least appreciate the potential.
