Bret can't even take a bump at this point . If Bret could at least take bumps...sure...have Punk come down , hooke the Vice on him and make him tap the next night on RAW. But hell... what can Bret Hart do ?

The beatdown was Batista holding Bret , as he slumped to the ground and Vince did stomach shots to him. Thats not really being able to take a bump .

Hogan hasn't been a heel since 2002/2003 though. And its a way for people to say... damn it...Joe would have beat him if not for....(insert evil Hogan thing) .

I think if AJ Styles continues to roll and beat everyone like he has thus far ...the big matchup at Bound for Glory would be : Hogan vs AJ Styles. Hogan has to done the red & yellow brother....to beat down this evil heel group. (Thats if AJ continues his roll til BFG).

You can have Mr. Anderson or a new Main Heel beat Hogan at the next PPV or 2 later....

Which is true.... I agree Batista is a house hold name. The WWE since 2005 has done that. Because the WWE is mainstream in this country. Dave however gets mocked due to his being gassed and over juiced to a level he gets winded a lot ...even cutting promo's and walking down to ringside. Him losing at WM... its gonna be even more comical.

Only the IWC mocks Batista for his weeziness. Batista is huge in this country too. Fuck, he has a commercial. Batista won't be hurt at all.

Which is the fault of TNA. They wanna grow the company and would bring in Angle , Christian and others. And look at Joe/Angle ...that 1st PPV did their highest buyrate...ever. It was the fact fans wanted to see Kurt Angle face this monster heel.

And Angle went over...and Joe got him later and won that one ! It was pretty much a great rivalry from the get go by TNA. Angle broke Joe's dominance over TNA. It didn't kill Joe...and the 2 have done some big numbers against each other.

No, what killed Joe is the shittiness of TNA booking and their inability to follow up with anything. Joe stepped aside for Angle to get the belt, so that hurt him already. Then when Joe finally got the belt, they book him as a lameduck champion all of a sudden, so he had to step aside for Sting. Then for WHATEVER asinine reason, he steps aside for Angle AGAIN.

Joe's not even a household name yet; these constant stepping aside has hurt him significantly. Batista IS a household name, and is a bonafide main eventer. Losing a fluke loss, especially one where he's not the one losing, won't hurt him at all. Especially if he beats up Bret the next day.

I'd love to see a Hogan/Joe program honestly. To see Hogan having to do all he can to win. Sure he wins the 1st match....2nd match Joe will be ready....2-3 leg drops can't put Joe down ! The son of a bitch keeps coming....finally he batters the old hero...and wins the rematch.

Bret mentioned it weeks ago. Where he confronted Vince and told him he suffered a stroke years ago and how it made him feel. How he had to work his way back.

I agree TNA booking for Joe was piss poor at times. Joe's booking the last year was dumb as the company seemed to wanna expand the MEM storyline. I did laugh that Joe was basically KILLING THEM ALL and Nash had to buy him off to stop. "We can't beat the son of a bitch....we had to buy him..."

Batista while a Main Event star in the WWE isn't a house hold name here. While its great he is there...here he's getting there with his 1st movie role. In terms of coverage.... WWE has household names. They have all the name stars due to the fact they are a bigger company and all.

In all if Hogan/Joe happens... fans may jump on. They may jump into the product to see Hulk Hogan battle this guy. If Joe impresses and takes it to Hulk...they may latch on.

To me its how well the match goes. If you make Joe such a threat he beats the Hulkster pretty good...and Hulk wins a hard fought one....you may hook fans to watch Joe long term. To me its how TNA books it.

Agreed. This is the first time I've enjoyed Dave's work since around 2005. He really has ran with the silent, nonchalant, indifferently arrogant yet vicious when need be kind of thing he's got going. That beatdown on Cena last night was as effective a beatdown as I can remember. It was violent but also disturbingly subdued, and that final chair shot sounded vicious. Well done, Dave. Keep it up.
