Nah I think Noah is just that powerful.

It's good development too, since there's no safety Net anymore. Adults won't show up to save the kids like they done in the past, since they already got punked. It's do or die this time around.

Eh... no.

If she does stay out of the fight it'll probably be mainly because she's still injured from the battles with Giriko's bodies. Perfectly reasonable.

From a story-telling standpoint it's also understandable that she wouldn't take on Noah. This is Kidd's fight, his grand return after being imprisoned and possessed for quite some time now. Maka's already had her big moment in this arc, what with over-coming the mind-rape from the envy chapter.

And even if she does take part in the coming battle, so what? Does she has to be at the center of each and every major fight in order to prove that she's just as capable as the boys?

The answer is NO! We all already know that Maka is a compotent meister, intelligent individual, complex character and all-around badass. She doesn't need to prove herself because she already has.

Granted, I do of course want to see her as much action as possible before the series is over. But that doesn't mean that just because she sits out for one or two major battles that she's been chickified. Hell, there's anything at all in this arc that would suggest that Maka has even begun to suffer from chickification.

You make a good point even if you don't mean to. That being that if Maka started using her fist instead of Soul that a lot of the fans would be put off by it.

I bet the dream scene would be Maka, still being carried on Soul's back, see's Kid and Black*Star get one shotted by Noah. So she activates her black blood dress using all the black blood she lost during her fight with Giriko, jumps off Souls back, and reenacts Dead Fantasy Vol. 1-3 on Noah.

Because that's the only way that she won't end up...what was the term...
