I think this team doesn't scream X-MEN much, as does Y. So they are Ys.

The X-men are solely focused on the future of Mutant kind, in theory there is still a world out there with villains preying on humans and Xaviers dream of mutants and humans living together still needs protection. The X-men do not want him around, maybe he can earn his redemption by dragging the Acolytes along the road with him.

Uncanny X-Force is pretty close to perfect. Drop Angel & Psylocke and replace with (a resurrected) Cable and Rogue.
