Battle of the manly, muscular men!
Whose fists will prevail?
If Akira can't handle this fight in his base form he is allowed to start the fight in Violence Mode.

I just started reading Toriko, but he's already shown some crazy strength in the first chapter alone with the fishing feat.
Have beer, will drink!
hmmmmm its hard to pick. both are crazy strong and disgustingly powerful.

wanna make some quick cash?
As far as Base Kongou goes, Toriko is a bit stronger and has a range game that utterly kills him. Knife and Fork are both now rapid-fire projectiles that are capable of bisecting building sized chunks of ice.
Another shot to show just how big said block of ice was.
Kongou can probably match him in a fistfight to a certain extent as he's likely faster than him enough to make up for his lower strength. But if Toriko decides to play keepaway things get bad very quickly.

Agreed, Akira is ridiculously durable. Guy takes hits from missiles and doesn't even flinch.
Plus, he is surprisingly quick, between dodging some of Iai Banchou's slower attacks and running on water. I could see him closing the distance between him and Toriko to drag him into a slugfest.
Though given Toriko's hitting power... he might not want to tank hits from there. Especially not a Ten-Ren Nail punch, that thing is just bananas.

As a heads up, since Kongou Banchou looks to be winding up soon, I will be reviving this thread and inundating it with Kongou feats.
Both characters have gotten ridiculously more powerful since I made this thread so I think it's going to be a good match.

Yeah, Toriko now makes that Toriko look like kind of a chump.

That mountain weighed like a trillion tons too, according to the context.
Sani's technique multiplied the force of Toriko's 36 Kugi Punch by 30 so if you do the math...
1,000,000,000,000/30 = 33,333,333,333 tons
That's over thirty-three billion tons of force on its own, if I'm not mistaken.
As a general policy, we don't tend to take calculations or for that matter character statements into account when considering evidence. The former of these isn't a solid rule but it's kind of frowned upon because fiction doesn't tend to conform to real life well enough to hold up under scrutiny and it allows for distortion of calculations to favour one side or another (Not implying that you'd do that but it does happen).
Speaking as someone who did an awful lot of number crunching for manga speed stuff I can see the appeal but it's ultimately unsustainable because fiction isn't consistent enough to hold up.
It's combined mountain busting level strength, that's a heck of a feat in of itself.
