Hey, I love Heroclix, and I love the Watchmen comic. But the movie was awful and really, I don't think Clix and Watchmen really sync up in my mind.

I used to like Heroclix when I was younger, but things got ridiculous after a while.

I don't think anyone really has tournaments anymore, except maybe a few places here and there.

I'm sure Alan Moore is revving up as a Red Lantern now.

I'm sure Alan Moore couldn't care less at this point.

Awesome news though. I just hope they aren't doing the movie versions.

I gave up on Heroclix following them discontinuing the Independent line of Clix.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

And either must die at the hand of the other for neither can live while the other survives.

I do believe DC can only to moichendizing! for the movie as contracts state that they can't do them for the book without Moore's approval. I remember they were going to do a line of figures for the 15th Anniversary (15th? Really?), but Moore had a falling out with them. I could be wrong though.

To have Watchmen just be another set of DC characters in a cheap yet fun figure game? Eh. That just seems like pouring salt on the wounds.

Meanwhile, hell, I'm still torn on the movie. Then there's the totally ridiculous merchandise for it. Hell, I bought a bunch on sale. I got a couple Who Watches the Watchmen flasks just to customize into something else. I got a Rorschach as a gift from a friend, but also got one for three bucks to maybe dick around with. Maybe I could, I dunno, make the damn thing stand up on its own. Also got a Silk Spectre 1 for the same price. Oh and another friend got me a Rorschach lunch box that was kinda funny, but I told them it would have been gold if there was a note that said "behind you - r" inside it.

The one thing I did go out and get was the photography book of the film. No matter how the film turned out as a whole, these were fantastic photographs of actors in costume and a few props. Some amazing photographs there. Certain a treat for anyone into comic book props and costumes like I am. Plus you got to see nice shots of even minor characters who sadly only got like ten seconds of screen time.

Well, except that he rather trashed the whole Blackest Night crossover.

Man, I think these would have him rolling over in his grave. Not that he's dead or anything. I just figure he's an odd duck and might sleep in a coffin.

<looks at the €70 chase Batman figure that would have been over €100 if not for dropping likea stone dollar last year> Cheap? Compared to Magic the Gathering, perhaps.
