I can't call Aaron Campbell a cartoonist. "Supremely-detailed Illustrator" is a better description of him. I just reread The Trial of Sherlock Holmes with his art (Leah Moore and John Reppion writing) and, wow. You forget you're looking at art, it feels almost like your watching a live action film. His characters are unbelievably believable (you follow?), and his backgrounds were well researched and very well drawn, so it feels like you step into London in the late 1800's when you look at the pages.
I'm dead serious too. I'm no hype man. But this'll be worth the hype, IMHO. Campbell's perfect for a period piece like this...Can't wait.
