Who is Batman's oldest rouge in terms of age of the character? I'd say WB would want to use whomever that is to maximize the chances of "catching lightning in a bottle" again in terms of TDK's key to its financial success.

I hope they give us someone we've never seen before in film. Or... give us one we've seen that was totally screwed up and see them do it right. Just please... keep it down to one. Two max. No more.

I say... let most of the film be Batman investigating and have the big villain revealed in the final reel. Let's see the Dark Knight Detective. Please.

His oldest rouge is the Blazing Red Frenchman and his Scarlet Mistress Lipstick.

Are you suggesting that WB is planning to have an actor killed?

I'd say making the next film a detective flick would be a great route to go. It makes sense that Bruce would concentrate on being a detective after he let the Joker slip by him until it was too late...plus, he destroyed all his fancy spy tech and pledged never to use it again.

Already created a new thread with this, but it bears repeating here...

    Intriguing to say the least:
    http://www.deadline.com/hollywood/it...ng-3rd-batman/

With the announcement a few days ago that Christopher Nolan now has an idea for the third Batman film (with his brother & Nolan currently prepping a script), and now this announcement, this lends some interesting new credibility to the rumors of Nolan using DARK KNIGHT RETURNS as a basis for the third Batman film. With Batman as a fugitive at the end of TDK, the table does seem to be set.

    Discuss.
If what I said can be interpreted as something else and I offended you, I meant the OTHER thing.

Considering how much of year one is in Batman Begins, How much of Long Halloween is in the Dark Knight you can only wonder what taking the Dark Knight returns as source mean

    God I hope not.
There's plenty of possibility without resorting to adapting Knightfall.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an adaption of The Dark Knight Returns.

This is older news but still interesting.

Let's not. I want to see the "Year One" trilogy end and tie everything up.

Maybe Batman 3 will follow the Batman R.I.P. storyline.
