While I've know the basics of the story for forever I've never seen a movie version or read an extended written version so this will really be my first experience with this classic story.

Dark Horse Digital Comics has the first twenty issues of Usagi on sale for $.99US right now. No word on how long the sale lasts.

An IDW editor has said there are some talks between them and stan for an usagi/turtles crossover but its too early to say more now.

Any word on when 47 Ronin is coming out? I've never seen Stan draw human characters, besides himself and a few others in one panel gags in the back of the comic.

If you want to see what a non-anthropomorphic samurai story by Stan Sakai might look like, check out the story he did for Billy Tuci's Shi: Kaidan one-shot from Crusade back in 1996. The 6 page story is called "The Soul of the Sword".....

An IDW editor has said there are some talks between them and stan for an usagi/turtles crossover but its too early to say more now.

What I would love to hear from an IDW editor is that they would like to, and are planning on, releasing a Usagi Yojimbo Artist Edition sometime in the forseeable future.....

Don't know if you guys knew, but CBR had an interview with Mike Richardson and Stan Sakai regarding 47 Ronin, but also about Usagi Yojimbo and what comes next (think it was a miniseries)

I feel so bad right now. I was moving some comics and dropped my copy of usagi yojimbo the complete fantagraphics and while the books are fine, the slip case broke. I am gonna try to fix it but I wonder if I can get just a replacement slipcase somewhere.

47 Ronin comes out next week and I think Stan Sakai said that after that, Usagi Yojimbo would be back in a new mini.

47 Ronin #1 (of 5) comes out this wednesday. Unfortunately, it is going to be released on a bi-monthly schedule and issue #2 won't be released until January. Stan Sakai recently mentioned on Facebook that he had just completed and turned in the artwork for issue #3, so he will still be working on the 47 Ronin for a while longer.

The "Usagi Yojimbo: Sensō" mini-series is going to be next!

I'm wondering when the dark horse hardcover omnibus collections of the series will be coming. They were announced by Sakai, last year.
