You know, it might not be just Ruffy that's getting a bounty upgrade here. It's possible that the entire WAA will have new bounties on their heads now.

Crocodile: 325 million (I suspect that he's going to be worth more than the supernovas)

Inazuma: 84 million

Also, Blackbeard will most definately gain a big ass bounty. Probably around 600 million.

I think Luffy will be round 500 million and Crocodile should be around 300 million. The rest I'm not so sure about.

For Blackbeard, would they even try a bounty? In addition to orchestrating the war itself, he killed Newgate and stole his power for the world to see. Not to mention that he threw away his Shichibukai title to invade the world's greatest prison and break out its worst prisoners and placed them under his lead.

So? They kept Crocodile's defeat a public secret but still gave Ruffy a bounty based on those actions.

Blackbeard basically declared himself ruler of the world or something like that on international television and showed that he now possess two devil fruit abilities. That should be enough for a bounty.

I wonder if a possible rift between the World Government and the Marines is being hinted at. Sengoku didn't look happy about having to cover up the Impel Down breakout.

I'm going to break from the trend and say that what surprised Chopper was not updated bounties, I just don't think bounties are important enough for a end of chapter cliffhanger like that.

I have a couple of ideas of what it might be,

1) the WG or the marines are doing something outrageous and deplorable to counter the new surge of piracy.
2)Rayleigh and Luffy have gone off and started making trouble already
3) Another one of the crew has done something newsworthy.

Ok these aren't the best, but I will be really surprised if its just bounties. Though I wouldn't be surprised if we do see some bounties pretty soon.
