Again with the blue-eyed Cap in Bucky's outfit?
Once could have been an error, but I don't think the same mistake in eye color would be made twice. That's Steve in Bucky's Cap costume.
Not happy about this at all, and it looks like something bad is about to happen to Bucky.
THATS UGLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
FAAAAAAAAAAT
FACE LIKE A HOOOOOOOOOOOORSEEEEEEEEEEEEE
BLEEEEEEEEEHHHHH
seriously, i'm not fan of romita jr, but his art is better than this......now i can see the fat jokes about ms marvel paying off.
Okay, why a new Avengers #1? Marvel could renumber the Avengers title into #600 or something.
1st.
I'm glad Bendis is still on. He is a great writer.
Nothing we didn't know already.
Top 3: Batman, Wonder Woman, X-force
I'm glad it's been announced as just Bendis and JRjr. Means the title likely won't be a thrice-monthly thing, so I can continue to ignore Bendis' book the best of my ability and hope they have an actual Avengers title by Slott or someone.
I'm definitely giving this book a chance.
I'm sure they'll do 600 when the time comes, I think another year or so if you include New Avengers. They want as many money making schemes as they can. So they do Avengers #1 relaunch with an a** load of expensive variants, then somewhere down the road they do the same with #600.
CHICAGO BEARS 2011: 1-1
Hmm.
I want to say first that I like JRjr's style on certain kinds of books - Spidey, DD, Kick-Ass... Grittier, street-level books. However I'm not keen on his style on most other "big" superhero books, with the possible exception of Thor. And BB likes his chatty heroes and I think he'd be better paired with someone who is stronger in facial expressions and has a cleaner style.
Just my 2 cents.
Thats the crwative team? Damn. Sorry, Avengers fans. I thought Marvel would do you better after supprting their grossly over priced and sub par title for an entire. All hasn't gone to hell, though. As can clearly and delightfully be seen, Bucky is still Captain America. So, as of now, at least you guys have one good reason continue spendind your four or, if this becomes bi-weekly, eight dollars a month. You should grateful even though things look horriblr now (quite literally, too, given the piece of artwork accompanying the announcement) for things could have been even (Steve as Cap). Yea, I'd be roiled, too. Anyway, good luck with you newly minted #1 Avengers. Plowing through those been should be quite the experience.

His eyes were colored blue in Secret Invasion, last week's New Avengers issue, the cover of Captain America 37, and really, just a lot of places. Tons of colorists make that mistake. OTOH, he's got a gun, is wearing Bucky's outfit, and has a text about being a legacy hero. I mean, really, the overwhelming evidence points to it being Bucky. If Bucky refused to wear Steve's costume out of respect, why would Steve turn around and do the opposite?
