I think they work good as best friends... the two of them play off of eachother so well, especially written by Marjorie Liu :). They really need a series together, or to be in the same book as one another long-term.

*snicker* I figured it'd be you! Thanks!

But yeah, I can see them as friends, too. Just not better friends than Jubes and Penny. /jealous lol.

LOL so last night I had the most amazing dream. Every week on comicbookresources, the Marvel Editors would have a question and answer about different characters. Each week, several questions from tons of people would flow in regarding Jubilee. With every passing week, the editors began to realize just how awesome and loved Jubilee is, and they decided to give us fans a series about her.

Then I woke up..... was confused for a few seconds... and became sad that it was just a dream. :(

That's just a girl thing. We go into dressing rooms and help each other out. Nothing there but friends chillin' and plotting to max out Remy's credit cards.
Cyclops, Storm, Jubilee, X-23, Sage, Threnody, Gambit, and Dr. Nemesis!!!
Cyclops is not the new Magneto... he would not waste his time with Rogue.

    YAY!

    And aww. D:

I've had similar dreams about Penance getting her own series or Generation X getting a reboot series... I know how much it sucks to wake up from that and realize it wasn't real. XD

With all the Marvel NOW hype, do you think Marvel will bring Jubilee back or is this just an excuse to get rid of her once and for all? I would be very sad if they did ditch her, but I have to be realistic about my favorite character.

It'd be sad if they got rid of her once and for all (like, by sending her to go be with the vampires and then not have her appear with the vampires...). Hopefully Liu will fight to have her in a title at some point.

But yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if Jubes isn't in any of the Marvel NOW books. :/

And they even had the vampires appear in the hulk issue one month after Jubilee left the x-men. And it featured the "penance pool" they kept mentioning as a necesary part of making Jubilee non-evil. It would have been the perfect point to include her! (please excuse my raeg)

Though I think I'd still prefer it if Jubilee just kept herself non-evil through force of will rather than relying on some magic spring.

Something interesting I noticed: both Liu and Wood said in interviews that they weren't sure about their future in their current books (adjectiveless, astonishing) beyond around 2 story arcs. They kind of dodged questions about why that was - just saying things move fast in comics. I suspect in hindsight, and given that a couple of story arcs would finish around the marvel Now launch date, that those two books were (at least at the time) in the gun to be replaced by marvel Now. That may not still be the case - it's unclear to me how many x-books are being cancelled to make way for the new marvel now books, beyond the headline grabbing uncanny x-men cancellation. But if that is the case, it may free up Liu to pitch a book with Jubilee.

Exactly, even if that magic spring is named after her best friend. ;P But yeah, Jubes not appearing then was just WEIRD. I bet there was no explanation, either. These writers really have to talk to each other...

Gage was inexplicably dodgy, too, about any sort of post-#275 Legacy plans and we now know why: Legacy is getting canceled at #275, sigh.

I think the future looks bleak for most of the b-c list X-men. Limbo is going to get crowded. :(

Yeah, the fact that they have two copies of the Original 5 running around ALONE is going to mean B- through Z-Listers will be crowded out. They'll either get passed up for speaking parts (relegated to wallpaper) or not show up at all (Limbo). So glad the only A-Lister I'm a big fan of is Storm. The rest I can take 'em or leave 'em -- I tend to be a fan of B-Listers through D- or E-Listers.

Another 1 frame cameo of Jubilee dancing at the wedding party, bottom of the first real page from Astonishing X-Men #52.

Looks like Jubilee is calling Kid Gladiator over. Could Candylyn's Jubilee/Kid Gladiator ship be becoming reality? O_O

And who's the girl Jubilee is dancing with? She looks shorter than Jubilee, and is smiling, and knows how to dance, which all seem to discount x-23.

Well, at least Jubilee hasn't yet faded into obscurity. It is good to see that Marjorie Liu is sneaking her in for some cameos.

She could be X-23, maybe Jubilee helped to enjoy herself a little?
