i can't believe it. Why Jubilee? she should always be on Storm's team. I want her back.

Unless the X-23/Hollow/Jubilee team-up for an ongoing series is on the works. : )

Then we have Psylocke, Warpath and Domino fail to search and secure the control room, leading to an informant being killed (ie they fall apart as soon as Jubilee leaves :p). In the vampire arc, Storm picks an ill-advised fight with the ISO vampire team. Both Psylocke and Domino are promptly defeated and are only saved from death thanks to the quick intervention of Jubilee, who in spite of being mentally unbalanced, is the only one with enough sense not to fall for the aforementioned "misunderstanding->fight" trope.
And yet, SHE's getting pulled from the book?! While I haven't read these issues, your description alone makes me think she should have her own book...or team-up book.

She's clearly too competent for them, and leaves the team because she tires of their stupidity.

Though honestly I don't blame you for not reading them. Gischler just never got either team dynamics or efficient use of page space. He'd waste too much on irrelevant details and not have enough to cover the things that matter. The only way I can enjoy adjectiveless sufficiently to warrent paying for it is to construct these silly theories (though the theory does hold until Jubilee leaves the book, I'll lol)...

And speaking of which, the hypercompetence theory got reinforced even more in 26, where Jubilee has to constantly verbally slap down Storm and Raizo Kodo (vampire gary stu) who keep trying to inanely argue while they are under attack by mercenaries. Then we had the cliffhanger: Storm, Psylocke, Raizo, and another vampire superhero were jobbed by the new Wolverine enemy "Lord Deathstrike". The only one left to save the lot of them is Jubilee, who picks up a Katana and challenges Lord Deathstrike one-on-one.

I'll never forgive him for the sewers of New York story that was billed as a "Storm leads the team into danger" story, but inevitably devolved into "Everyone except Spider-Man and Emma Frost are incompetent, so this is now going to be a Spidey/Emma team-up" story with "P.S. Storm doesn't really lead, lolz."

Why do they keep her making weird faces. Cause she is a vampire?

There's really only three things you need to know from the main Curse of the Mutants arc:
    1. Jubilee got turned into a vampire
    2. She fell under the control of the evil vampire hordes and aided them by tricking Wolverine and turning him (of course, with a healing factor, that doesn't last)
    3. The X-Men still won in the end, so now are stuck trying to figure out if Jubilee is permanently evil, or whether they can do something to help her.

Wolverine and Jubilee is infinitely superior to Gischler's curse of the mutants in all respects, and is pretty self contained. I'd say just get it and read the above 3 points or the obligatory "previously" page of text included in it. If you want even more after that, don't waste your money on adjectiveless, pick up X-23 10-12 and 20 by Marjorie Liu instead.

I saw the silly Jubilee Mini in my local Barns & Noble's didnt buy it as that series was awful.

But it did make me feel nostalgic fro the Flash, Bang, Paf aspect of Jubilee...instead of Bite,Slurp, Hiss.

Ugh, that arc was awful. I only made it through Curse of the Mutants because of the Jubilee inclusion, but the Sewer arc made me drop the book fast. Jubes needs to be in a much better book that can really showcase her. Hopefully editorial has further plans for her soon, she would be a great addition to Liu's cast over in Astonishing.

And on a side note: considering that Storm had such a great tenure as team leader during the 80s and part of the 90s, no writers can seem to make that click anymore.

I really need to read those X-23 issues, but that mini was awesome and Liu seems to have a good handle on the character. Very entertaining read.

Are you talking about the cancelled after six issues ongoing from 2004? Is that a consistently despised series? I thought it was quirky, but pretty entertaining.

I don't think its despised, But due to the issues she was dealing with at the time, its disappointingly not Jubilee.

You could replace her with, Surge, Pixie, Husk or any "Teen Character" of the female sex and the book works just as well. It may be the "Jubilee" series but it has nothing to do with her as a character.

Pixie would never manage to pull off nicking biscuits from a foodcourt.

I really hoped this "crew" would do something with her. Three story arcs and they are done with her.

Cyclops, Storm, Jubilee, X-23, Sage, Threnody, Gambit, and Dr. Nemesis!!!
Cyclops is not the new Magneto... he would not waste his time with Rogue.

I need to ask you guys a question, and you'll forgive the bluntness, I can't think of a more tactful way to put it, are you guys aware of Jubes sleeping with anyone on panel (di she sleep with Skin for that matter, I have lost that issue of X-MEN: UNLIMITED).

It may seem odd but I need to know for a conversation I am having with a friend.

    Cheers.

    James.
