I thought she was the same age with Surge and Hellion, considering all the deagings.

Anyway, can't wait for the x-23 issue, I think Alina Urusov is a much better choice for Jubilee than Mike Choi. I have a feeling that Jubilee and Laura won't be fans of each other.

Edit : Look at Laura's eyes in fifth page, second panel, she's crosseyed :D

    so, according to the WinterCon

"Is Jubilee ever going to get her powers back?" "This is a big question to answer," Alonso said. "All I can say is, if you're a Jubilee fan, you'll be very happy."

"Jubilant!" Liefeld interjected. Alonso said Jubilee will play a big part starting in July.
    :DDDDD finally :)

    and, coming soon

there will be a Marvel Figure Magazine dedicated to Jubilee this July (2010.) It is stated to be 20 pages worth of history and interviews on Jubes... and also come with a painted metal statue of
    her.

the reason i always liked jubilee (and i'm not trolling here) is because she was quite literally the anti-Kitty. I love pryde but Jubilee i lIked because she was nothing more than what she was intended to be- sarcastic, underacheiving, non plussed, constantly amazed and also underwhelmed by life's shitty little curveballs, a non stellar student and basically the unchallenged joy of the team where Pryde was the pride.

I like her now, as a sort of adult, because she is in the age range that writers always seem to miss TERRIBLY on their mark when trying to write a character. She's got loads of experience, but she's not some synchophant teen nor is she an adult. It is in this age range that the 05 X-men were aged up to mid twenties Back in the 70's, same with many of the New Mutants and X-force in the 90's.
Jubilee at this age should make a return as the X-men's "Tank Girl" character. the savvy, wild, punkish, finger to authority with the hand painted gadgets and enough mouth to make Deadpool blush.
Clearly Wolverine has enough to handle what with Armor AND x-23 as his current side-kittens, so Jubilee should take her rightful place as Betsy's partner. Keeping her in line for when Betts gets the bloodlust and needs to go hack away at something, heavily...

*Jubes and Psylocke talking before jetting off for a field mission together for the first time in a long time*

Psylocke: Jubillee, dearest, the purifiers are madmen with cannons that shoot an array of nasty things like primordial demon ooze that sends you back to hell and the like. your combat skills will need to be en pointe, I hope you remember some of what I taught you...

Jubes: (backflips, lands in splits. produces a sai and flips it around masterfully) Yeah. I think i still got it, Lilacke.

    Psy: fine. let's get goi---
Jubes: but do you remember everything i taught you?
    Psy: really? right now?
Jubes: (playing Ke$ha's tik tok on ipod speakers) Lemme see some moves, Bloodpuddin'!
(Psylocke looks around. rolls her eyes and all but breaks a mountain in half with some of the most impressive pop and locking Jubilee has seen this side of a SoCal rave)
    Psy: let's go.

That's basically it. Kitty was the one who had everything on the ball. Jubilee was the screw-up. Kitty was the cerebral computer genius and the trained ninja. Jubilee was the one who thought with her gut and fought with a combination of raw talent and improvisation. Kitty covered up her feelings by trying hard to act like a grown-up. Jubilee covered up her feelings by acting more immature. They really should do a Shadowcat/Jubilee miniseries someday.

It would also be fun to see some short little stories of what happened between the panels in those early '90s days. That's because Jubilee probably threw more of a monkey wrench into their "family life" than into their "superhero life". I bet you she snuck out of the mansion more than once. Probably got brought back in the back of a police car at least once too.

She really should be the new wild card of the group. She was practically bred for it. Emotionally troubled? Check. Semi-criminal background? Check. Disrespectful of authority? Check. Heck, they put her on the Blue Squad with all the crazies (plus Cyke and Beast) when she was just starting out. The other X-Men clearly knew it should happen. "Well, we have this new, young recruit, let's stick her alongside the former crooks, assasins and terrorists."

you had me going there, i liked the idea of everything, til u got too psylocke and that cutscene................LOL

still. i think the editors have made it a point to squish every piece of spunk out of her.

coincedentally, (and probably why i love jubes so much) Gods been doing the same thing to me since my spunk middle school years. lmao

If she's going to be the MU Tank Girl, she better not be listening to some mass-marketed club shit like Tik Tok.

Latterly she's become rather uninteresting, but that's more to do with her being too different from the original character for me to care about her, although whoever called the Nation X outing as reading more about the writers' mid-life crisis than a twentysomething woman touching base with school friends was on the money, as I cannot read the dialog in that story with a straight face anymore.

So yeah, before her mid-life crisis, I dug Jubilee.
    Bingo. Bango. Bongo.
