Might as well start it up...

I stayed up all evening and watch the Crosby & Hope "Road to" films on TCM

    Road to Zanzibar
    Road to Morocco
    Road to Utopia
    Road to Bali

Oh man, I wish I had known they were on.

What'd you do? Fast forward through all the musical numbers?

I recently watched Zack and Miri Make a Porno. Justin Long was hysterical in it (though he was only in it for five minutes).

I went to see that Sherlock Holmes movie. Not bad. I hadn't been to a movie theater in quite a while, I forgot how much advertising there was before the movie.

It was good wasnt it? i put off watching it for a long time thinking RDJ would just rehash his Iron Man Tony Stark performance but in a Victorian setting but he surprised me in a good way by creating a different take not yet seen of the character.

    recently watched:

Twilight-not half as bad as people have been saying imo quite a dark movie.

Avatar-amazing looking and pretty good (but predictable story) the actress playing the blue alien girl really was amazing though.

I liked it too. Robert Downey Jr.'s comic timing is genius.

I've started reading the novels and stories and it is in fact true that the movie is faithful in many ways to the original printed stuff, particularly in how Holmes was portrayed.

    Avatar IMAX 3D

Had already seen in regular 3D. Liked it just as much if not more the 2nd time around. IMAX is the only way to go for this film, it's a huge difference. It was nice to be able to concentrate on visual details and details of performance that I'd missed in the first viewing. And it's still a very beautiful story.

Trivia quiz: the actor who plays Moat, the shaman queen and mother of Neytiri, also does the voice for which character from the animated Justice League / Unlimited series?

Snowed in a lot recently so I've watched:

the series boxset of Neverwhere and the Wacky Races, not movies but....
    Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy
Surrogates which was not as bad as I expected it to be
FanBoys which was a huge let down
Alphaville which is one of my all time favorites
    The Devil's Backbone

Nice to see some odd and fun movies on cable

    Matinee
1993 Joe Dante comedy that John Goodman does a great job as a William Castle type personality debuting his latest film in the midst of the Cuban Missile Crisis. Fun and a nice nostalgia feel to it.

    The Sting
1973 Oscar Winning film...Newman & Redford con job film.
Worth watching every time. I love this film

    The Burbs
Once I put this on at any time the film is on, I have to watch it to the end.
Tom Hanks' neighbors... are they killers or is everyone on the block just thinking it? Great cast... Carrie Fisher, Bruce Dern, Rick Ducummen, Henry Gibson, and Corey Feldman.

Needed a Jennifer Connelly/Angelina Jolie fix, and picked these two film this morning.

Local Hero for the second time.

Seriously wonderful in every respect and just as good the second time. Why this film isn't more widely acclaimed is beyond me.
