But it looks like a goofy Halloween costume most of the time. Plus for someone who copies moves of agile fighters a cape is about the dumbest thing he could possibly wear.

Yeah it pisses me off to see Marvel characters wearing capes. The only Person who gets a pass on capes is Storm.

I'm sad to see the Extremis look going now, which is by far the best looking IM armor.

Also, technically it kind of is still around: Tony rocked it in the big Mandarin arc in Iron Man: Director of SHIELD, during Secret Invasion and during World's Most Wanted.
Well, since you wondered, the genius of the classic Iron Man design is all in the circle. Look at it. Every single aspect of this armor revolves around the simplest, oldest, most basis design of all. The circle. There are other armors that I really love too, and I don't fault anybody's personal tastes, but this one's far and away the smartest, from a design sense. It's just beautiful!

I miss the red safari jecket look for Wonder Man.
Ditto. Yeah I know "It makes no sense as a superhero costume", but the un-"superhero costume"-ness of it is one (but not the only one) of its appeals. Plus you have to admit that Wondy's other costumes weren't/aren't exactly improvements.

It's not so much as a costume as a look...but I miss the bearded, disheveled looking Sentry Finch drew in the breakout arc of NA.

The current clean sentry looks too nice and even feminine as some people have said.

Oh no, heaven forbid our manly superheroes look "feminine."

Skully Taskmaster looks more weird than menacing
Manga Taskmaster had his shield, and he looks more amazing, not in tights, and not in cape, capes just make handicaps

Speaking of beards, I prefer Thor with a beard

I agree, the classic Taskmaster costume is the best. I felt the UDON version was just way too different and - for a costume that was supposed to be more practical - had a lot of unnecessary parts that made it look silly.
And frankly, I think his classical outfit is supposed to be a little over the top. It might not make much sense in action, but for a guy that works behind the scenes who needs to impress petty crooks so they'll sign up for his course it works.

You know, I don't mind it so much. Especially when you consider the fact that she is not my mom. In fact, she's probably about the same age I am canon-wise (I'm 27). That Reed Richards is a lucky man.

I will acknowledge that it was a '90s phase that she, like many other characters, went through. However, I don't think it's a particularly bad one.

Really? I'd like to throw in my vote for the UDON version. It looked far more practical (no cumbersome cape) and there would be a lot less danger of artists messing up the mask.

Me too. I wouldn't mind if they modernized it a bit, though. Just to get rid of the underwear on the outside look. Take his X-Force costume and make it brown and tan instead of black and grey. Or his current Astonishing one and do the same (brown and tan instead of blue and yellow). Either way would be great IMO:

    or

Come to think of it, black and tan would be a good color scheme for him as well. Maybe something like he wore in the X-men Evolution cartoon, but with the classic boots:
