I doubt it. Seems like it's just promotional art on the Heroic Age in general. Gorilla Man would never leave Atlas!

Well either way, now we know that we're getting a new Avengers #1.

Also, I'd say that's a good sign of Clint going back to being Hawkeye.

That seems quite an interesting line-up, but Clint should stay as Ronin, a man doing martial arts seems far less cheesy to me than a modern day archer

Also others are probably right and it's just promotional art.

I don't know. While it may seem less cheesy, it makes Clint just like dozens of other superheroes when he just stays a martial artist. The zing that made Clint who he was, that kept him in a more exclusive club, was the fact that he was an archer superhero. There is something cocky and bold about a guy who fights crime with a bow and arrow that becomes common and boring when its just a guy dressed up like a ninja.

no i think its just to show the state of the marvel universe post siege.

i like how it is labelled the heroic age, but two of the heroes labelled have giant guns, more associated with the marvel knights, dark reign age.

i really hope there is more than one woman in the avengers lkineup this time,as when bendis started nmew avengers there was only one, and she was a traitor at that!

im excited to see what happens next! althought beast may well be coming to the avengers, as he has left xmen, and sword was cancelled...

i would prefer slott to write the classic style avengers, i like bendis but i think he suits more the new avengers espionage street level type

Also: apparently that's new art by Jim Cheung.

Good to see Clint as Hawkeye again. So is Cheung confirmed as artist? I thought he was working on the new Young Avengers project with Heinberg? I'd like Immonen to have a long run on this, but I think there's going to be a revolving door of artists just like New Avengers.

And they chose a great pic of Joe Q:

    I love Cheung artwork.
Top 10: Hawkguy, GIJoe Cobra, The Massive, Daredevil, Wonder Woman, Fury MAX, The Black Beetle, Batman, Winter Soldier, Suicide Squad, and The Activity.

I'm thrilled about a more classic Avengers(though I'm enjoying Mighty which is as close as we've had in a long time), but I really don't think that Bendis is the right writer for the project...at all.

Gorilla man in the avengers ? Why not ? The avengers line has been letting everyone who has a superpower join them anyway , it's the same with the JLA nowadays with Congorilla joining them.

JLA/Avengers II - apes gone wild . It's Gorilla man vs Congorila replacing Thor vs superman as the big battle , who would win the ultimate battle for ape supremcy ?

Well I won't be reading this since Bendis and I don't seem to mix. This actually seems more of a movie Avengers than the New Avengers did, only Gorilla-Man and Hawkeye won't have been in a movie in the next couple years (and there are rumors of Hawkeye being in Thor). Also they seem heavy on the duplication of power sets, lots of strength, agility and guns.

I hope they release promos of what Slott and Gage are doing next soon and hopefully they've ditched the Avengers Academy name.
