I'm excited to see Ultimate Spider-Woman again. I've been curious to see more story with her in it and I really liked how different of a character she is from the regular Marvel U. The art looks great on this book, reminds me of Immonen on Ult. Spider-Man

Definitely getting this. I'm glad the Rick Jones story is getting picked up. I really thought he was going to be a big part of Ultimatum. I guess that was Loeb ignoring things again.
The art looks fantastic. I'm glad Rafa is doing all 3 of minis now.

I never read Ultimatum, but I'm pretty sure somebody traveled back to the Ultimate Power universe and brought him back during the whole thing.

Bendis writing an Ultimate comic that looks like an Ultimate comic. Joy!

I do get iffed when Bendis and co. are on the company line saying that all the old arcs felt like events. The UU had a special feel (part of it being its groundedness) that later writers didn't care about. They weren't inspired by the UU, but treated it as the ugly stepchild stepping stone to the "real" book or as an over-the-top 616-fanfic (or both). Sadly the latter actually sells (at least if it's written by Loeb) and thus we have what we have.

...Yes, I'm still kinda bitter. Every comics fan is allowed one thing to be bitter about - that's mine. :p

Sounds pretty underwhelming. Not interested in another "conspiracy" comic, and I'm really unhappy Bendis will be using the contradicting SS Nick Fury; I don't care that Bendis wrote him first.

And why is this going to be three separate miniseries if it will have the same creative team on all of them, and are all part of the same story. It's not like new readers could jump on at the new number one.

But, this is just another disappointing Bendis book. New Avengers is still pretty good, but some time around August, his books just stopped interesting me. And I'm not a big fan of Sandoval (I don't see why everyone seems to love him, or why he's one of the Young Guns), but at least he has a better colorist now, so his art won't be quite as ugly as usual (I hate the way he draws eyes).

The only promising thing about Enemy is that it'll feature Rick Jones, as I've been anxiously waiting the follow-up to his super-powered introduction to the UU.

Like everything that sounds mildly interesting (even Loeb's books), I'm going to be getting the first issue. Hopefully it'll be good, but I'm not expecting much.

It saddens me that I no longer care for the Ultimate line (which was my first and favorite line of comics).

What exactly is an SS Nick Fury? I'm picturing blond hair, blue eyes, and swastikas here.

Abbreviation for Super-Soldier. But perhaps there was some kind of Freudian slip going on...

In Origins, Bendis retconned Fury into being the first successful subject of the Super-Soldier Serum, even though up to that point, Ultimate Nick Fury was only around 30 years old, and did not possess any extraordinary abilities.

And it seems with Bendis referencing writing Fury in Origins (and the changes therein), he intends to acknowledge said changes in Enemy.

Now granted that's a lot of supposition on my part, but I doubt Bendis would've made those (inferior) changes to the character if he didn't intend to use them later.

Was it ever explicitly stated that Fury WASN'T a SS subject? I can't remember to be honest. And, though I thought Origins was the low point of Bendis's Ultimate work (though still better than anything Loeb did), it's canon and the changes have to stick I guess.

It was never stated how old he was (and he'd definitely be more fortyish-fiftyish than 30).
Even if it was stated how old he was, he's Nick Fury. He's not going to tell anybody his real age if he can help it. It's probably so classified even the preisdent doesn't have enough clearance.
And we don't even know if he still has any super soldier abilities (but apparently he's still good enough to keep with the rest of the gang in combat in Ultimates 2).

    Cool

I think there should be a fifth book that covers all the other happenings in the UU...it could feature a variety of heroes and villains and "bleed in" occasionally into the other books. An "Ultimate Comics Adventures" of sorts with a rotating cast of writers and artists.

I hope this unofficial group in Ultimate Enemy becomes some type of secret task force that operates freely within the UU....it all sounds interesting to me.
