That's it for me, I'm definitely done with the book.

Since I'm one of those weird people who likes the content inside a book to match the title on the cover, I won't be keeping on with Titans when this nonsense starts up.

I dropped the Titans book after Beast Boy's spotlight issue, but I may begin picking it up again with this. I love Deathstroke, and I'm hoping spoilers:
    Jericho is a cast member
    end of spoilers.

I'll flip through this when it comes out. Probably.

But every time I hear about this new direction, two things spring immediately to mind:

    1. Doesn't this sound like the "Fight Club" version of Thunderbolts, where they kept the name, but changed everything else about the title? From reading Comic Book Legends Revealed and other things I know that it's not that uncommon for title characters to be pushed out of their own titles, historically speaking. But this just doesn't make any sense.
    2. Why isn't this a Secret Society/Secret Six book? It would seem to make more sense there. Why would Slade name his team after another team that he's had such bad experiences with? And why aren't the surviving Titans now in the JLA not chasing him down?

I'm looking forward to this. I like this bold direction which is going to piss people off it takes some balls to do this. so i'll check it out and see how it works. The art tease looks really awesome. I don't have sentimentality, or some nostalgic idea of what this comic should be, so as long as the story can hook me I'm in.

Deathstroke's still my favorite character ever, so if he's there, I'm there.

Perhaps if I knew that more characters I was interested in were going to be in the book that just Deathstroke, Cheshire and the Tattooed Man...I might be able to find some interest in the series. However I dont have any interest in Cheshire, minimal interest in Slade and know nothing about the Tattooed Man. Add that to the fact that the title has nothing to do with the book any more and I just dont get it.

    It's called marketing 101.

The sales figures on Titans right now are not what DC want's them to be, so they are shaking things up to see if sales will increase.

It's not like titans is DC's #1 seller right now, or they would leave it as is.

It does feel like "TINO' (Titans In Name Only) from this. But then again, ever since the 90s, I've found the 'dark path' quite dull so I maybe biased

I can't say I'm CRAZY about it but it can't be worse than Titans is right now. Probably.

So why not cancel Titans and rename it something else? It could still be in the Teen Titans "family" of books, but if I'd been out of the loop for a while and just out of curiosity wanted to see what Donna and Vic were up to, I'd be pretty peeved if I bought an issue of Titans and found this whole supervillain jamboree squad thing going on.

It would be kind of like if you took Superman out of his comic and replaced him with...oh, wait, bad example...

Isn't this basically Suicide Squad for hire?

I was pissed for a sec when I thought this was interupting my Teen titans book. Then I relized it's in that "other Titans" book and I suddenly didn't care anymore.

I still might cheak it out though, cause I'm always up for a good Deathstroke story.

Ditto, Deathstroke has also been a fave of mine, ever since his 90's series (was I the only one that bought that?!?). My fondest hope, when Marvel & DC were doing Intercompany Crossovers out the ying-yang during that decade, was for them to do a Deathstroke vs. Captain America book. Both super-soldiers, one good one evil? Fight of the century here.

So anything with him in it I'll try out. The recent two part Blackest Night issues of Teen Titans was a welcome surprise that I greatly enjoyed.
