I've siad this a zillion times through various threads and i'll gladly say it again:Hellion....in a heartbeat. Cyke and Emma have turned their back on him when he need them most. Plus Nate could give him a hand with his TK.

I could see him being good friends with X-23 because he can relate because he was created as a weapon to destroy Apocalypse in the AoA by Sinister.

Those two come to mind the most, but i also see Nate helping a lot of the other X-Men too. Like Angel and Gambit dealing with their "death" sides.

Regarding nate and the phoenix effect the artist could have thought it looked cool visually for the readers.

Or... The artist and editor(s) thought they could just "slip it in the mix" as if no one would notice that the "Phoenix Force" had no presence on Earth-295... I'm just saying

I really liked Nate, he had and has huge potential. But it seems his comic in the 90's was plauged with bad writing and sucky plots. Ive reread quite a few in my collection and It seems that people had trouble writing him because of his power. They would often take away his TK or his Telepathy for no reason. I really hope if they do something with him post-siege, that they tag a someone who can figure nate out.
