Only a young Beast. It will feature Havok instead... it is an odd plot IMO. I also think the 60s is too long ago to work with the first 3 X movies.

Yeah, seriously no point in going that far back. Still absolutely Lame, I now want this movie to fail. When do the X-movie writes go back to Disney?

I'm not sure I want it to fail, I will see it for Emma, but it annoys me that she will be a woman in her late 20s in the 60s. They seem to be screwing her story up as well, making her a love interest for both Xavier and Eric. I think this movie should have taken place in the 80s with a young Jean, Scott, Beast and Storm so that it would actually make sense with the other movies. Bad enough there are two Emmas in the movie world.

Synch was so awesome too. I would debatebly says Skin got screwed the most. He might have lived through the series but his death had no impact where Synch's did.

I think its fine. I'm excited for it. New director, Singer is helping out, and Emma is in the film. The only thing I think is odd is giving Xavier hair. Its such an iconic look that it seems odd.

I don't want it to fail. I want it to be awesome. However any movie taking cue and characters from the Draco scares me. The cast is so random its hard to make up my mind about it. I mean Darwin is in it.

I just rate the deaths that way but they all did not have much impact although Synch and Banshee's were more important then Skin's. Still Banshee went down a hero against a vastly stronger opponent and Synch, I guess was heroic but there was so much pis, wis, cis in it that it felt the writer must have had a vendetta. I mean really from Synch not fulling synching in a short range when he has done longer distances before, from him not coming up with a smart way to get rid of the bomb, to his strength only Synch to Monet while possessing super speed, flight, and tp not being able to find and catch him, it was horrible writing all the way. Skin just got crucified so his death was horrible but the writing wasn't that bad since Skin is the weakest member of GenX. Well, except for the x-men somehow not noticing at least a dozen mutants being killed on their front lawn.

Still Emma's characterization was great back then.

Well Synch's death at least affect the other characters. Skin and even Banshee were sort of skipped over. But Skin wasn't in a book for a while then all of sudden he was dead on cross. (Which frankly the idea of the cross masscre is interesting, but Austen wrote so turned out like crap.)

I know it had affect I am just saying it had the worst writing, Skin's was bad too but that was because of them getting crucified on the x-lawn without anyone noticing.

I think the writing for Skin was worse. That's what I meant by his death at least had impact. That is better writing to me. But both weren't great.

    Poor Gen X. :(

Anyone pick up What if 200?

The Cabal get squished but Emma and Doom are hilarious. The other X-Men (Nightcrawler, Beast and Magneto are cannon fodder to them.)

I flipped through it. Doesn't Sentry kill Emma in it?

The Void kills the entire Cabal. Doom's plan failed. He squishes Emma first I guess payback for what she did to him in Utopia.

Emma looks pretty good in the What If issue. aloof yet sexy. ExodusCloak was right in using the word "squished" to describe Emma's fate. Sentry slams down on her head so hard it explodes.

Her scene with Doom was good. She should have gone diamond, and then wait for someone to TK her back together. I'm sure she survived though as a Shadow King type thing.

Wow, Sentry! Harsh much? :L Trés gruesome...besides, isn't Emma's diamond form supposed to act like a defence mechanism to prevent her from being harmed? When Danger was beating her up in Astonishing X-Men (the Unstoppable arc...) she kept turning to diamond so Danger couldn't cause any real damage to her...shouldn't she have turned to diamond in this alternate universe storyline just before the Sentry squished her head?

I think I'll pick this up. I really like the art and reviews of it have been pretty good...plus Emma's in it...does she feature in it quite a bit?

@ExodusCloak: Could you post the original page from where you got your new ava? Thanks.
