I think Emma and Wolverine have a lot of things in common. They are all able to make hard decisions, which most of X-Men cannot do; Emma would do anything to protect her students, and Wolverine would sacrifice himself to save his friends; they all are morally ambiguous… Emma and Logan can be good friends, but in some ways they are too similar to each other to be with each other, as like charges always repel one another.

I really hope Emma and Scott stay together. Emma is my favorite female X-Man(X-Woman?) character and Scott and Emma are my favorite couple in Marvel.

Without a doubt, they are my favorite couple in comics. I hope their relationship lasts till Doomsday.

The hero/villain labels don't fit Emma, she's just a dominant personality who does what she thinks needs to be done, whether that ends up helping or hurting people. Killing her to provide angst for Cyclops would just be lame and nothing we haven't seen many times already. I mean, in an effort to make Scott interesting, they had to kill off Jean, then Maddie, then Jean again, exile Xavier, depower basically the entire mutant population, make Magneto of all people kneel before Zod, and even push Wolverine to the Avengers franchise just so he could take center stage without anybody who could possibly overshadow him. And Emma still manages to, so thus she must pay for it with her life.

I completely agree. Emma always does her own thing, whether it ends up being right or wrong doesn't matter. And that is what made Fraction's run such a disaster she was no longer doing her own thing. And to kill another of Cyke's girlfriends is a rehash and insulting to the X-line.

If Cyke and Emma split I could see her taking her resources to Logan's team, and probably sleeping with Logan too just to spite Cyke.

I would love for her to join the W&tXM cast! Aaron writes her fairly well.

Wolverine has always been a rival for Cyke, both in alpha male power games over leadership with the XMen, and with Jean's affection. Cyke has a competitive relationship with Wolvie in a way that he doesn't really have with anyone else in the same way.
I don't want Emma to sleep with Logan, or Namor either for that matter, I can just imagine how it could play out.

Wolverine and Emma are the bad boy and girl of the X-Men. They are loners. And the object of lust, third point in the love triangle, for the goodies Scott and Jean. I think their similarities are part of Emma's appeal.

Me too, but it seems unlikely now. In the last issue of AvX she was making out with Namor and future solicits show them both fighting each other.

My guess is that the Emma/Scott relationship will end post AvX. Assuming Emma survives, and i hope she does.

I don't know... Thor v Emma. Emma v Thor. Who are my favorite comic characters? These two. Actually. Batman is my number one by far, but Thor... Emma... my two Marvel faves. My two Marvel tethers! It's a hard fight for me to see. I actually hope Thor wins. I love Thor, and he's been given the short, short end of the stick the series so I've got to say that Thor needs to win this one. I'm tired of writers wanting to show how strong people are by having Thor being beaten like a kid.

I'm gonna guess that Emma wins and they job Thor out though, since that's what they've been doing. I just hope that they don't make Emma evil this fight. She's very prideful and now very powerful, but hopefully she has a bit of perspective...

It's amazing. The only thing that could make it better is a behaded Wanda - or at least bleeding profusely, but kneeling in humilation in front of the Queen is a good start!
