True, but i think it kinda goes back to what i said. A lot of Laura's one shot/ mini covers have had art that makes it look depressing and Laura as a druggie.

She does look a bit heroine chic in that picture. She reminds me of a 90s Calvin Kline add.

I'm looking forward to the one-shot. Marjorie Liu seems to have a very good grasp on Laura's personality, and I trust her to give her some interesting character development. From an interview Liu gave I got the impression that she won't fall for the typical "emo" and "doom-and-gloom" pitfalls that often pop up with emotionally troubled characters.

Mike Choi draws a great Laura. She looks fit and athletic. Which should be the case for a girl who probably has done some kind of physicall training or activity almost every day of her life.

She definantly takes a place in my top three. I really like that her features resemble the ones Josh Middleton initially gave her. Don't get me wrong, I like Choi quite a bit, but I prefer this.

I understand what you mean. I like her and Middleton's style for Laura too. To me it displays very well the tortured state that she's in. While I do not think Laura is an emo, she is very tortured on the inside and I think there is a big difference between the two. Before I have seen Ursov's version of Laura, I really believed that only Middleton truly succeeded in showing Laura's tortured state through just a drawing. And I think that Ursov can also draw her as fit from looking at this picture of her.



So I think Skottie Young may be bumped down to four even though that is a REALLY hard choice because I liked that Young tried to return Laura to her goth-like roots.
