It was SKids. I"ve been saying the same thing since he showed on Utopia, regardless of how 'surprised' he was pretending to be. I think all of this has been about him NEEDING the X-Men to trust him for the sake of mutantkind. But I think he is sincere in that. It's really all he's ever been about, just some times his actions make him 'bad' and sometimes not. But it's still always been to the same end. As far as his sincerity in pursuing Rogue. eh. She's going to beat the s@#$% our of him if he's just outright playing her. But I don't think it's that simple either. I'd bring up the deal when she had the cookoos powers, but mind readers never could get to him anyway.

It sounds like something Carey or Kyle and Yost would do, not so much Fraction. Perhaps it's recent enough for him to remember it. I don't think Rogue would care if the reason Magneto's being creepy is real desire or lies- it would be different it he were being really nice.

?? The mind reading thing? Carey wrote it. Or do you mean the diary? I would hope Fraction remembers that considering it was Bru that wrote it but who knows.
I like that he's not super nice. Actually he's kind of an ass, which makes me happy. I can't do a repeat of Joseph. I don't think Rogue thinks he's being creepy though. She did carry a torch for him for a bit. Carey just said that being the focus of someone like that can be hard....or something. I do like that she's not coming off as intimidated by him. Carey has really done good job with her. And him. I know people aren't really happy on the interaction between the two, but I've been amazingly pleased with Legacy.

Sorry, I meant the diaries. Fraction isn't exactly Dr Continuity right now, but maybe I'm underestimating him. Hopefully the editors remember stuff like that. Personally I'd like to see Mags try and steal leadership of the X-men from Scott. For what it's worth I asked Carey if the current Legacy arc was going to end up as a 'No means Yes' type thing, and he said no, and that he'd never write a 'No means Yes' story. So I think Rogue's rejections can be taken at face value.
