Hey guys. Long time no post. I'm glad to see this thread still alive and thriving. I'm certainly looking forward to the Children's Crusade. It's well past time to get Wanda back in the mix, and also to get some clarity on the Billy/Tommy issue. Some cousins for Luna would be absolutely awesome. The Magnus family literally spans across the Marvel Universe like no other group. It's time they took their rightful place in the books.

As a Crystal fan you must be at least a little happy. She has been handled really well in the cosmic books, D&A seem to really like her. At this point, she is really the only one making any sense in the Royal Family and has really grown. I’ve even become rather found of Ronan.

Okay, so I can’t actually quote this, but I have on psuedo authority, that by the time Carey is done with Rogue, there is a damn good chance she will NOT be paired up with Magneto romantically.

I think I can say that much without someone getting mad at me

Actually, I'll be relieved if they're not a couple. The way Carey writes Magnus coming on to Rogue just makes me cringe whenever I read it. Other than that, I like the way Carey writes Magneto.

I'm actually pretty amused by it, but I also think it could serve as an excellent set up to but things to bed on the issue. You know, minus the actual bed part.
I don't really mind either way. I like the idea of them with the younger class a lot, I don't really care if they are dating.
They really had to give her the opportunity to show that she was past him, even if he was an option. Otherwise it’s just out there, or she is ‘settling’ for someone else. This way, whatever she winds up deciding will be on her terms, which is where Carey has been taking her with everything in her life.

I still think there is a larger plan at work behind the scenes where Magneto is flirting with Rogue,because Rogue's behaviour to him didn't make much sense,either.

Possible. Could also be chalked up to them being very different due to all they've been through. I imagine it be like haning out with the teacher you had a crush on in Jr. High. Just kinda weird. I'm glad he's still around post second coming even with CC. But Carey hinted that there is something else going on as well. I think he said that there 'may be more to it' in ref to his pursuit of her.

In the end, Gambit+Rogue is probably going to happen again. Which personally, if they can give it back the cool factor it had when I was 13 I'm all for it. Of course, that may require me being 13 again.

While 92- was an abomination. Ealry Kubert/Lee Rogue+Gambit was Haaawwwwt!
Miss that. OMG that was only like 6 issues wasn't it?

I'm just glad that Magneto is in a book with a writer AND artist that actually like the character.

I don't think that's a spoiler at this point- I asked Carey on Facebook and he pretty much told me Rogue's isn't playing hard to get and, anyway, they wouldn't work as a couple. What with Carey mentioning alternative motivations and Mag's reaction to Hope I think we may see that diary Magneto got off that character whose name or sex I can't remember referenced again. Which would be pretty cool. I hate to think he's being sincere at the minute.
