The Gathering was not necessary to the crossover, it just provided backstory to Selene's Inner Circle joining her.

Nice stories, though. While not a "Must Have" I'd personally say it was worth picking up.

I might be missing something obvious, but where's Artie? The little pink boy who communicates telepathically by pictures. I've seen Leech since Gen X, but I'm not sure if I've seen Artie.

oh i thought there was a time period where spoilers where concerned.

and now i remember that thansks. im bout to read the next trade over. It kinda confused me esp the ending.

nd Xavier is something else. So they slowed down to the point where he disapeared? Exodus may have had a hand prob. Why they save him? to debate or for Mags?

In his addled state, Xavier was more easily pliant to psionic conditioning. Exodus gave it a shot because... he wanted a famous, charismatic mutant leader to head the Acolytes, as he doesn't see himself as a good leader, but a good soldier. Charles was to be their new leader.

But, he turned Exodus and the Acolytes down and left, with a little help from a depowered Magneto and Omega Sentinel. Then he came back later, and pretty much told the Acolytes they should go to Utopia.
