With all these teasers about upcoming events, I was wondering...

When AoA or Onslaught happened, how did Marvel teased the readers ? Did they put mysterious ads in the comics ?
I'm asking because at that time, I was reading comics in french and big upcoming events were less advertised.

If I'm not mistaken, there were a whole series of "ONSLAUGHT: NO ONE IS SAFE" ads.

For Onslaught they actually had a website which was one of Marvel's first forays into online marketing.

Hey did X-men #5 come out this week? There's no thread on the board so I was wondering about it. I usually go to my LCS on Fridays but I'll wait til next week if it didn't.

was x-force 27 not entirely penciled by mike choi? bits of it didn't look like his work. reminds me of an uncanny garney issue that chuck austen actually did a few pages of uncredited to get it out on time. anyone know?

All sources, including the title page (enclosed in the CBR preview), say it was just Mike Choi.

How old are the new mutants these days anyways? I know they were teenagers when they were originally introduced and obviously they are no longer but its kind of hard to tell how much time has passed since then.

Sliding time scale so we don't know for sure. But in Uncanny X-Men 501 or 502, Cannonball shows ID to get into a bar and it says he's 22. You can figure out the ages of the rest of the NM from that.

CW: Young Avengers/Runaways is fun. If for no other reason, showing that the teams don't get along so well, just because they're both good guys, and it shows how badass Noh-Varr really is.

I would place Rahne (youngest) at being 21 by now and Karma (oldest) at 27. The age order I believe goes Sunspot, Magma, Cypher, Moonstar, Cannonball. Hard to place Illyana considering she didnt age naturally
